How should I train my Axew?

Hi guys. I have an Axew (which I will evolve to a Haxorus) with a modest nature and IV's of 31 in both Attack and Defense. I already maxxed out its defense and gave it 6 attack EV's. How should I spend the other 252 EV's, and what item should I make it hold? BTW, could you also give me an ideal moveset?

Don't train it. Find another one and start over. Modest and max Defense are awful on Haxorus. All Haxorus is good for is being a Physical attacker, Modest and Defense EVs are a waste.

On a Haxorus, this is what you want:

~Either Adamant or Jolly nature (lowers Special Attack; boosts Attack or Speed respectively)
~Dragon Dance or Swords Dance. Adamant tends to run DDance, Jolly tends to run SDance.
~Rivalry is usually the better ability if your Haxorus is male, due to the x1.25 boost. Mold Breaker is definitely tempting, but nowadays it doesn't do a whole lot. Edit: Mold Breaker destroys Bronzong. Do it.
~31s in Attack and Speed at the very least, and others if you can help it. The SpAtk stat is irrelevant.

Um...no. Go with Mold Breaker every time. Mold breaker lets him KO Bronzong, who is one of the biggest walls to Dragon types and Rivalry is very situational. If your opponent isn't male than you'll wish you could hurt Bronzong.

...I totally forgot about Bronzong. Yeah, if I had actually remembered Bronzong, I probably wouldn't have said that. I was actually thinking about the genies at the time I wrote that (derp).

^not to mention rotom. :)

Anyways, this can be asked in the competitive battling questions thread.
