How to use Ditto?

Hello everyone!
Some of you, please, could you explain how to use the card Ditto (Set: Original Fossil 3/62) with Pokemon Power Transform?

1.Ditto copy also the retreat cost? For example: Ditto are copying Donphan. Donphan has a cost of retreat 3 energy, also Ditto must retire with 3 energy (though Ditto paper reports a retreat cost of 1 energy)?

2.Ditto is fighting against Donphan. Donphan has 100 HP, but previous confrontation with another Pokémon remaining 70HP.

■Ditto copy Donphan. In doing so, Ditto has 100 HP or only 70 HP? We put the case that Ditto has so 100 HP.

■Donphan attacks Ditto and provides 70 damage. Ditto to remain now 30 HP (HP 100 HP-70).

■Ditto copy attack of Donphan and gives 70 damage. Donphan, who had 70 HP, is K.O.

■Rhydon succeeded Donphan. Rydon has 70 HP. How Ditto about the HP and the damage that he has already on himself?

■Ditto, who has 30 HP from the previous fight, now copying Rhydon and automatically regains 70 HP?

■Ditto, having already 70 damage from the previous struggle with Donphan, is automatically K.O., or his damage is automatically deleted?

■And in case that Ditto does not purchase ex-novo 70 HP of Rhydon but remained with 30 HP, and had only 10 damage, his new HP would be 20?

■And in case that Ditto acquire 70 HP Rhydon and had only 10 damage, his new HP would be 60?

In short: how we behave regarding PV and damage when it enters another Pokémon Defender?

Thanks!

Ditto does not copy the opposing Active Pokemon's retreat cost, so it remains as 1 energy cost to retreat.

Ditto will copy the opposing Active Pokemon's maximum HP, so in this case a 100HP Donphan, it will have 100HP. This is because you treat it as the same Donphan card.

After Ditto knocks out the opponent's Donphan and a Rhydon is promoted, Ditto will copy Rhydon's stats, and because it already has 70HP damage while Rhydon's HP is 70, Ditto will be knocked out.

While Ditto copies the opposing Active Pokemon's stats like HP, damage counters and effects are entities on their own and they stay there. For example, if Ditto has 30 HP damage on itself, and if your opponent replaces his Active Pokemon to a 30HP Magikarp, Ditto would be knocked out.

Thanks! But many people tell me that Ditto COPY the opposing Active Pokemon's retreat cost... Are You sure that Ditto does NOT copy the opposing Active Pokemon's retreat cost?

You're right, upon reading the card again I believe Ditto does copy the retreat cost as well. I should read cards twice, tend to miss out these details.

basically, you view ditto as the same exact card as the defending pokemon, except it still has the transform pokepower.

if another pokemon comes into play on your opponent's side, ditto automatically transforms into that.
it never goes back to its original form, except on the bench

Ditto is fighting against Donphan. Donphan has 100 HP, but previous confrontation with another Pokémon remaining 70HP.

■Ditto copy Donphan. In doing so, Ditto has 100 HP or only 70 HP? We put the case that Ditto has so 100 HP.

■Donphan attacks Ditto and provides 70 damage; represented as 7 damage counters.. Ditto to remain now has 30 remaining health (HP 100-70).

■Ditto copy attack of Donphan and gives 70 damage. Donphan, who had 70 HP, is K.O.

■Rhydon succeeded Donphan. Rydon has 70 HP. Ditto's max HP is now 70; and ditto has 7 damage counters; i.e Ditto is knocked out.

I don't understand

■And in case that Ditto acquire 70 HP Rhydon and had only 10 damage, his new HP would be 60?

Stop thinking in terms of 'hp'; but think of health as Max health minus 10 per damage counter.
