This is the first deck I've built since returning to the game, so here goes! :)

Pokemon (20):

Basic Pokemon:
4 Deino
4 Zoroa
2 Darkrai EX
1 Cleffa

Stage 1 Pokemon:
2 Zweilous
4 Zoroark

Stage2 Pokemon:
3 Hydreigon

Trainers (22):
4 Rare Candy
4 Darkness Claw
2 Copycat
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
2 Professor Oak's New Theory
2 Cheren
2 Cilan
2 Darkness Patch
2 Great Ball

Energies (18):
4 Double Colorless Energy
4 Special Darkness Energy
10 Basic Darkness Energy

Darkrai EX– Darkness – HP180
Basic Pokemon

Ability: Darkness Cloak
As long as this Pokemon is in play, all of your Pokemon with any Darkness Energy attached to them have no Retreat cost.

[D][D][C] Night Spear: 90 damage. Choose 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon, and this attack also does 30 damage to that Pokemon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance when damaging the Bench.)

Pokemon-EX Rule: When Pokemon-EX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2

Darkness Claw – Tool

Pokemon Tool: To use a Pokemon Tool, attach it to one of your Pokemon. Each Pokemon can only have 1 card attached, and the card remains attached.

The attacks of the Darkness-type Pokemon that this card is attached to do an additional 20 damage to any Active Pokemon.

You can use any number of Trainer cards during your turn.

Darkness Patch – Trainer

Choose 1 Basic Darkness Energy card from your discard pile and attach it to one of your Benched Darkness-type Pokemon.

You can use any number of Trainer cards during your turn.

-I have this deck proxied to try out new cards from Darkness Explorers.
-I'm assuming that the above two trainer cards will be in the set.
-I would like to get the deck list finalized before I get the cards to complete the deck.

Hydreigon along with Darkrai are used to snipe the bench, while Zoroark is primarily used to deal with annoying EX Pokemon by using their attacks against them (a decent counter to Mewtwo EX I think). Special Darkness energies and Darkness Claw power up attacks, while Double Colorless energies and Darkness Patch provide energy ramp. Darkrai lets me switch out my Pokemon as needed, so I can use the best attack for the situation.

What do you think? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

-2 Rare Candy
-2 Elm's
-2 Great Ball
-2 Cheren
-2 Copycat
-5 Basic Dark Energy

+2 Professor Oak's
+4 Juniper
+2 Communication
+2 Twins
+1 Mewtwo EX
+4 Collector

Okay, first, Elm's is not needed as to the fact it is a supporter and is outclassed by communication. Oak's and Juniper are arguably the best hand refresh cards in the game and outclass Cheren and Copycat. You only have 1 Stage 2 so 4 rare candy is over the top IMO. 18 Energy was over the top so I cut it to 15. And. Mewtwo is to counter other Mewtwo's. And collector for basics.

Cresselia Darkrai Legend... Assuming it doesnt get rotated (why would anyone assume that?)

After Dark Explorers comes out, you should use the Zoroark from that set.

Zoroark – Darkness – HP100
Stage 1 – Evolves from Zorua

[C][C] Beatdown: Does 20 damage times the number of Darkness-type Pokemon you have in play.
[D][D] Dark Rush: Does 20 damage times the number of damage counters on this Pokemon.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Psychic (-20)
Retreat: 2

Take out 2 cilans and 1 darkness claw to add in 3 junk arm
