Hydreiboar? (Hydreigon and emboar) HGSS ON

Hi, as soon as i saw hydreigon from red collection i knew i wanted to make a deck out of it and i thought emboar would go along with it fairly well.

Pokemon: 21
4-2-2-1 Emboar line (tepig no.15-pignite no.17-emboar inferno fandango and 1 bad boar)
4-2-3 Hydreigon line from NV
2 Cleffa
1 Reshiram
1 Cyrogonal with ice shard

T/S/S: 25
4 Pokemon collector
3 Twins
3 Junk arm
2 PONT
4 Rare candy
1 Super Rod
3 Pokemon Communication
2 Switch
2 Plus powers

Energy: 14
10 Fire
2 DCE
2 Water

Strategy: Get emboar with inferno fandango out and charge hydreigon with fire which turns into darkness due to its body. Twins is there because this deck can be slow. Super rod is there for recovery. The reshiram is a back up attacker just in case i cant get setted up on time. Bad boar is there to knock out gothitelle's which may or may not see play (not too sure).

This is a rough list so all comments and feedback helps :D

yeah, i like the idea. i don't think this deck is slow. it's fast. well not when you have to evolve them to their stage 2. maybe you could add some spiritoms with darkness grace?
or you can make it rush hydreigon, same idea with rush zps. buti think its a very good idea.

This deck is NOT fast. I repeat, it's not fast. That doesn't mean its bad, however.
Anyway, I would go minus 1-2 DCE. Emboar will get those energies on hydregion, don't worry. I would add another junk arm, to increase the life of your other trainers. You may want to consider cyroganal, because hydregion is weak to {F}. Other thatn that, the list looks great. Good luck! :D

Yu should either add A, virizion as starter. B. plus power to 2HKO dragons. or C. kingdra same as pluspower

Hi, i thought of its fighting weakness and i love the idea of cyroganal but that means i will have to add a water or rainbow which possibly hinders emboar ability but i will try it out for sure :D Thx :D

Steve: Pluspowers and virizion sounds like a good idea, any idea on what to take out?

how about this-
-1 cleffa (virizion can help as a starter)
-1 comm with 3 junk arm and 3 comm you will be fine
-1 rare candy for same reason as comm
-1 bad boar (there is no fisherman or retreival so there is no point.
+3 pluspower (just because dragons are so popular)
+1 virizion

I would suggest this:

-2 Cleffa
+ 1-1 Darkrai/Cressalia Legend

The reason is in this format cleffa can be KO'ed very quickly. Once they are done with there purpose they are catcher and yanmega bait. DCL will allow you to spread damage around whereever you choose. The only downside is that DCL is fighting weak and is 2 prizes on KO. For this i would suggest cryogonal instead of 1-2 DCE.

^Cleffa is needed with 2 stage two lines. It is a staple. It's actually to your advantage that they can be ko'd. Reason? 3 twins, nuff said

virizion is there in order if you have a pretty good hand but want to get some more
Cheren and Sage's are much better because more cards, and you can still attack

what else would you attack with T1 other than cleffa? what virizion does is allows you to keep your hand that has evo's in it while still drawing cards

Thanks for all the replies :D. However, i decided to not go with virizion as it only serves a purpose of drawing where as cleffa can possibly stall time at the late game. Anyways, onto the edits :D
-2 Catchers
-2 DCE
-1 Communication

+1 Cryogonal
+2 Water
+2 Plus power

Cryogonal is to get rid of fighting pokes which wrecks hydreigon, water is there so it can attack (I chose not to run rainbow as it will damage hydreigon if it gets attachedto hydreigon) and plus power, as steve said, helps me kill dragons.

I wasn't too sure of taking out catcher. Any thoughts about the removal of catchers or any of the other cards? All feedback and comments helps :D

I was also thinking of running this deck. Our lists are similar but do have some differences. I really don't think the Cyrogonal is needed Bad Boar hits anything for 150 and with inferno fandango can set up just as fast so thats what i have been using to take out Donphan. Catcher should also be there as well I run 2 personally and i think thats a good amount for this deck. I also run N because of how slow this deck is you are most likely going to fall behind early on so why not punish them for that with some hand refresher/disruption.

tbh honest neither catcher nor pluspower are needed, but I think pluspower takes priority. Also, in response to your previous post, cleffa is light years better. Would you rather get 2 new cards, or 6 and the ability to stall?
EDIT: Cleffa has free retreat which is a plus
