Any other collectors who think the new Black and White card style is pretty icky? The holos look like stickers! They don't look very Pokemon at all; how is Reshiram supposed to fit in with every other card I have? I really hope they change this back to the traditional holofoil...

I think japan has different style holos than America. I'm assuming it will look similar to lv x in terms of shininess

I think it's time to move on. We can't just get soo used to something that we get upset when something changes. Think about it, wouldn't it be really boring if everything stayed the same, forever? We had the same holo look since Diamond & Pearl, that was almost four years ago. They change the holo look about once every generation anyway, and I don't remember anyone complaining before. I think the new holofoil cards look neat! When Legends came out, no one was really psyched about them. We were all like "meh, you need both pieces." Then there was ERL. We just need to wait for the ERL for this set, ERL could be Zekrom or Enbouh or Pokemon Catcher. What I'm saying is, we'll have to get used to the new style if that's what they will print and we should accept it.

Japan has always had different foil patterns than the US. Back in the LV.X era the LV.X cards had a fancy star foil pattern, which we didn't get. We'll either get a different foil pattern or not. I personally think this is a nice-looking foil pattern - no knowing whether we'll get it or not, but still.

Also, in Japan, Pokemon LEGEND replaced both the rare holo and the reverse holo in a pack - you got both pieces of the same legend in a single pack, yet no one is really complaining about that any more.

Plus, I really don't think complaining about anything is going to change much. Son, I am disappoint.

I like them; they look neat. It looks sort of similar to Legends... except with one card. Just the way the artwork spills into the attacks, I guess.

-lol, you make it sound like we never really got it... ever!

Well, maybe a bit different... but basically a holgraphic film similar to the one we got (base-fossil), placed over the the usaual japanese foil. The one pattern we truly didnt get (ever) was the arceus :(

But it's true, we always get a diffrent foil pattern (on our version of the same card), which unfortunetly I see as a drawback (as of recently). I just hope they dont keep on over using that rotom pattern. It just seems that every time japan gets an alternate foil pattern, we get that patern as a replacement. I rather have the the new bw pattern than that!

I know we got it once, I just don't remember when it was. Also, the link to your first image is broken.

yes rotom foil pattern is now drastically overused, they need to stop it

The holos are pretty cool in B/W. The problem is is that we probably won't even get them in the US. And I agree that they are using that Rotom holo way too much. It's basically on every other promo card.

lol @ picture pwn.
