I caught a mistake in the second episode of Diamond and pearl.

The mistake occurs when James finds his old bottle cap collection and then Jessie says there a pokeball and James says it is his old pokemon that he used to play with in Sinnoh. The mistake occurs when he says that because the Sinnoh region had not even been discovered yet.

Well, for Ash & Co., Jessie and Meowth, they may have not known about Sinnoh, Johto or Hoenn since the first episode. But since James is a very rich boy and has several mansions all over the Poke-world, he moves from one region to another easily. As shown in the Winona episode, James went to Hoenn once when he was a young boy, showing that Hoenn has existed since forever. The creators haven't thought about Sinnoh, Johto or Hoenn, but they made it seemed that regions other than the original one, Kanto, were "created" even when they haven't thought about it yet.

All regions existed since the first Pokemon episode, Ash and friends just hadn't known about them yet. Like I don't know all the countries in Europe.

So youre saying that Ash set out to go to an undiscovered region???

Sinnoh is discovered from the beggining as are all of the regions and the future ones (if they exist) so yeah theres no mistake in that..

And they cant show evrything in just one episode.. Like "Hello, my name is James. I have houses in spain, germany, jotoh, dfhkgjkdfgh and sinnoh. Where do you live?"

Sinnoh is the new region. I can't figure it out and I know it is odd but the region is just now being discovered. The point is how could James say he had that pokemon and say he used to come to Sinnoh when it is now being discovered? I just can't figure that part out.

But its not being discovered by evryone. Its just new for Ash and Brock. Its not like there have been a hidden barrier around that part of the pokémon world. People live there, die there, travel there and even have there vacation there.

For example I live in sweden.. That do not mean I start existing when you enter sweden.
