RBY I Have a Hall of Fame Problem in Blue Version

I was in the top floor of Silph Co., and I logged on to the PC. I clicked on PKMNLeague, and it said:

LEVEL/57

TYPE1/BIRD
TYPE2/NORMAL

HALL OF FAME No 1

There was a strange cry, and no picture.

Now, I don't have MissingNo. I've never even seen him in this game, and I've beaten the Elite Four many times more than once. I have done the Mew glitch, and the Surf-through-the-S. S. Anne guy glitch. Could that have something to do with it?

Also, will beating the Elite Four again get my Hall of Fame back?

I'm actually sort of afraid of MissingNo.

Did you ever use the Old Man glitch to surf up and down Cinnabar Island's east side?
If the answer is "yes", that's probably why. If you run into 'M that way, your Hall of Fame records will get completely scrambled. They get rescrambled each time you run into him. (I think using the Mew glitch to find Missingno. might cause that too but I'm not 100% sure.)

You can't get your old Hall of Fame records back after that point, but subsequent clears of the Hall of Fame will be added as normal, without any glitches. (Of course, if you run into 'M, everything gets scrambled again.)

There was only 1 glitch to be found outside of missingno that effects the hall of fame. However it is only in the Japanese version and has been removed from translated copies. The only explanation I can think of is that you may have performed the Dokakashira trick accidentally, if your playing on a Japanese release of course, which I doubt.

No, I haven't done the old man glitch or encountered any glitch Pokémon.

Missingno, unlike popular belief, can NOT delete save data, corrupt your game, or most other things you might hear. The whole inverted sprite thing (not sure if that is missingno or M) can be fixed by looking at a regular pokedex entry and the Hall of Fame thing can't be fixed, but I find it rather amusing, and the duplicating items glitch is really fun too. I have caught Missingno in all three games (yes, including yellow) multiple times, and M too. Most of the rumors are false, and should be ignored. Although I don't know what caused your glitched Hall of Fame, I wouldn't be worried if nothing else is effected
