Hi all.

It's been a while since I last posted here, I'm kinda busy in rl, so..

Anyway, I've been I passed my BW games, about to beat Platinum again, and I've decided to finally finish my HGSS games. Problem? Well, try to guess. Horribly underleveled Pokemon.

So, my team currently consists of: Level 55 Togekiss, level 55 Electivire, level 51 Gyarados (tried to substitute him by Blastoise but really I cba to train all the way to level 55), level 36 Blaziken, level 56 Garchomp and level 59 Megainum. And it took me a WEEK to level them up by 4 leves all of them.

My wish is kinda to beat Elite Four and Champion on 2nd try, which I have never done because my Pokemon are very weak, wild Pokemon are weak, trainers are weak, and on my first E4 beating, I've been level 38, what is horrible.

Is there any good place to train in HGSS? How to level up? This is really horrible.

And just an example: I've restarted my HG, and I'm passing it all over again. And I traded myself a Chimchar egg, been training it in Ilex forest and I noticed one thing: On rute 29 there's Pidgey on lv.3 and on Ilex forest, there Oddish on Lv.5. And it's really badly made.

Any suggestions, comments? How to prepare decently and where to train? I really want to pass the games, but there's just no place to train! I'm rebattling the gym leaders, but...

RE: HG/SS underleveled Pokemon

They're not underleveled. They are above average. Teach the Gyarados an ice type move and all should be good.

RE: HG/SS underleveled Pokemon

If you really want to get more EXP., then have one of your Pokemon hold the Lucky Egg and fight high level Pokemon and use your Pokegear to fight Trainers again.

And, like Blui said, your Pokemon are above the average level (barring Blaze).

RE: HG/SS underleveled Pokemon

You think that this is enough to beat updated Elite 4 and Champion? I'm barely level 60, I can beat updated Champion with that? He has Pokemon over level 70! :/

Um, is this your first or your second time through the Elite Four? If it's the first time, you fight them with teams in the 50s, not 70s.

...I must have completely missed that. I myself didn't beat them second time round until my team was all level 70 or so. My mistake!

RE: HG/SS underleveled Pokemon

Just keep rebattling gym leaders, you can battle them as many times as possible within their designated times.

RE: HG/SS underleveled Pokemon

If you have 2 DSes or a friend has one: Trade your HGSS Pokemon to Platinum and battle the Gym Leaders/Elite o Four/etc. Since the Pokemon are traded, they should level up faster. In my first run of SS I did that to train for the fight with Red, and I got ALL my team to Lv. 71.

If you only have 1 DS: I guess you should do the Lucky Egg thing and fight Gym Leaders, or you could leave them in the Daycare.

RE: HG/SS underleveled Pokemon

Also battle the E4 or even Red. His team is 80+ on all Pokemon pretty much Also clone your level 100 team from one of your other 4th gen games attach an EXP SHARE and battle the E4 until that Pokemon is strong enough to take on the E4 and Read Try to get them around level 70 before you even try to battle the E4 with it XD.:)
