Whatever you do, don't play Half-Life in the dark.

I decided to play Quad Entei again after getting 5th at last week BR. (Plus it was the only deck I had.) I get there and hang out with friends. Roster goes up and there is only one junior playing. X) Since Entei is such a great staller, I am going to put down how many cards were left in my opponent's deck when I won.

Round 1 vs A. Cross Zekeels

I T2 plus power and Fire Fang her lone tynamo for the win.

Cards left in my opponent's deck: 45

1-0

Round 2 vs M. Pramawat Straight Darkrai

We both set up slow. I burned his Smeargle on turn 4 so he couldn't potrait which slowed him down a little. I didn't brother going after his Darkrais unless I had to. I picked off easy prizes by KOing his 2 Smeargles, a Darkrai and Sableye. I was able to time my Max Potions, Switches and Super Scoop Ups to prevent KOs on my Enteis. But, sadly, one of my Enteis perished. We came down to 1-4 prizes. He had a Dark Clawed Darkrai with a Sp. Dark attached active and a damaged Eviolited Darkrai on the bench. He had two cards left in his deck. I had two Eviolited Enteis out. He Night Speared for 100. On my turn, I switched my active Entei and Max Potioned the damage away. I attached an energy to the new active and Grand Flamed for 90. After this, he scooped because there wasn't any way he could win.

Cards left in my opponent's deck: 2

2-0

Round 3 vs R. Miller Darkrai/ Tornadus

He started Mewtwo EX to my Entei. He attached DCE and X-Balled for 40. I lost removed the DCE and played Max Potion. Then I played Eviolite, atteched an energy and passed. He gets out two Tornadus and a Tornadus EX. He attached DCE again and X-Balled for 40. I Junk Armed for the Lost Remover and removed the DCE. Eventually, he gets out a Darkrai and some energy but by then I had KO'd the Mewtwo EX, Tornadus EX and a Tornadus. I also kept Max Potioning and Super Scoop Upping to prevent KOs. He KOs my active Entei with his active Tornadus. Prizes are now 1-4 my favor. I send up an Entei and Grand Flamed for 70. (He had an Eviolite attached) He retreated to the Darkrai and Night Speared for 70. I played Juniper hoping to hit the Catcher. I did and catchered the Tornadus for the win.

3-0

Cards left in my opponent's deck: 3

Round 4 vs my brother Durant

He flips tail for all of his Crushing Hammers. I just Grand Flamed through him.

Cards left in my opponent's deck: 37

4-0

I am the only 4-0. It was a guessing game on who I was going to battle since one of the 3-1s got a bye first round. The standings finally go up and my brother got third. :D The second place person beat him by 2%. We were saying how game 2 is going to go to time since both decks are slow.

Top 2 vs N. Kirkpatrick Quad Terrakion with Groudon

I started slow while my opponent was able to set up. I wasn't able to draw into a supporter until turn 7. By then, he had a fully charged Terrakion active and 3 Terrakion benched with EXP Shares and an energy attached to each. I was struggling to set up. I had 2 Enteis out, one with two energies and an Eviolite attached and one with nothing. For some reason, he put down Groudon. I topdecked a Juniper. I used it and hit Catcher and cards that will help me to play catch up. I catchered up his Groudon. By doing this, I was able to buy time to start setting up. Again, I was able to time the Max Potions, Switches and Super Scoop Ups to prevent my Enteis from dying. Eventually, it came down to 2-2 prizes. He had an active Terrakion with two energies attached and 50 damage on it and a benched Terrakion with an energy attached. I had an Eviolited Entei with two energies attached and an Eviolited Entei with one energy on the bench. I had KO'd a Terrakion previous turn so he retaliated for 70. He was hoping I wouldn't have the energy. I played PONT on my thin deck hoping to draw the energy. I was able to draw the energy and Grand Flamed for the KO. He scooped after that because he had no more energies.

Cards left in my opponent's deck: 2
5-0

Game 2

I played this game differently from the first one. To prevent EXP Share from activating until I was set up, I kept catchering his Terrakions and doing enough damage to put them in KO range. It also helped that he kept switching his Terrakions for me. (I kept catchering up energyless Terrakions so he would waste energies powering them up or switches.) Also, for some I wasn't drawing into switches so I had to manually retreat my pokemon to heal them. During this time, my opponent makes the comment on how he loves how I manually retreat pokemon that weren't meant to be retreat. I also did this because if he KOs a fully charged Entei, my Enteis with two energies attached can still KO them. The prizes were at 3-4 in my favor when time was called. He has a fully charged Terrakion active with 50 damage on it and an energyless Terrakion on the bench. He realized that even if he KOs my active Entei, he couldn't win. I could just revenge kill his Terrakion with my fully charged Entei on the bench.

Cards left in my opponent's deck: 1

I won 1st place. :D I didn't pull anything great in my packs though. :(

Props:
Morlord
Brother for getting third
Entei for being such a staller
My brother getting third so I don't have to trade for a third place victory cup.
Glaceon getting second.
Beating Pramawat

Slops:
Pulling nothing great in my packs

I lost to Joesph in Top 2 D:.

Glad you represented Maryland! If I would have won all the winners would have been from MD =[ Oh well.

Nice job! No... great job!!

@ The Fire Wyrm Oops, I forgot to put it in. Fixed.

Also, when I left, Pramawat and some other people built an Entei deck and were play testing with it.

Wow. You're influencial ;)

"Glaceon getting second."

Should be a slop.

Eevee, can you PM me your list?
I think I might make it, but mine will have volcarona.

I don't know. You still did a good job. But I can put it into slops if you really want to.

They were able to help me figure out how to beat a mewtwo with 7 energies attached. In return, I also was able to help them fix their N and Juniper lines.

Sure, give me a few minutes. But just to let you know, volcarona will greatly slow down your deck and consistency.

Gotta know what this is.

And I don't care.

I can't believe I forgot to include Morlord in the props.

@Glaceon I will PM you the trick but it is not that ground breaking.

Congrats on getting first. I almost always see Pramawat in Tournament Reports making the top cut. Great job beating him.

Congrats on 1st place. And innovation in the field of naming threads.

Looks like your match against Pramawat was pretty fun, wish I had seen it.
