Help I need help with DeciPlume deck

Hello poke beach people, this will be my first thread ever, I'm relatively new to the Pokémon TCG. I have never made a deck before but I want to make a great deck and go to tournaments and leagues, I plan on making DeciPlume as it seems to be a fan favourite at the moment, However some of the cards in there have a very high price (for me anyways). One of these being Shaymin EX. Being new to the game I'm not willing to pay 25-40 UK pounds for 1 card. So I'm sure a lot of you know what a typical DeciPlume looks like, well I don't really. Could some of you leave your ideas below but with no Shaymin EX please, those are too expensive for me. Your help would be highly appreciated and if you wish I shall let you know how your idea works when I test it. Thanks and have a good one.
 
I never built one of these but I sure can tell what a Decidueye/Vileplume list about looks like. In this list cards have been added to not include Shaymin-EX.

Pokémon - 20
3 Oddish AOR
2 Gloom AOR
2 Vileplume AOR
4 Rowlet SM
4 Dartrix SM
3 Decidueye-GX SM
2 Tauros-GX SM

Trainer - 32
4 Forest of Giant Plants
3 Lysandre
3 N
1 Olympia
4 Professor Sycamore
3 Float Stone
4 Level Ball
2 Revitalizer
4 Trainer's Mail
4 Ultra Ball

Energy - 8
4 Double Colorless Energy
4 Grass Energy

They sometimes also include Beedrill-EX, Meowth FCO or a 1-1 Shiinotic line.

Thanks mate, Does this deck work well without shaymin? Also I wish to make some tweaks to add one more decidueye what would you recommend that I take out?
 
First off do 2-2-2 vileplume then your going to want 4-4-4 decidueye for attackers meowth and lugia ex are good choices. Tauros can be good as well though you wont be using hollow hunt gx if you do. And no this deck will be considerably harder to achieve a good board state without shaymins

Im not that wealthy 2 afford half a playset of shaymins :/
 
I would suggest an alternate path if you are on a budget rather than spending a fortune on Deciduplume or trying to make an inferior version of it work. You might take a good hard look at Quad Lapras. It is strong now. It is cheap. And it will get stronger once Guardians Rising drops. Not sure I necessarily agree with all the choices on this list (who ever does right?), but it is definitely light years cheaper to build than Deciduplume and you won't be spending all that cash on Shaymins that are set to rotate in about 5 months.

I'm sorry, but if a deck needs shaymins, and you can't get shaymins, then the deck isn't worth playing. If you really want to make a great deck without shaymins, then your options are limited. That's just the way it is. Good luck though....
 
Even if you have to move Shaymin's between decks they are a good pick up. If you are on a budget try Lurantis GX/ Sogaleo GX since Sogaleo Promo just came out, or when Guardians comes out Vileplume and Trevanant. I also believe the old Omega Barrage Medicham could see use some use with Regirock EX and Prof Kukui.
 
If you are on a budget, Decidueye GX isn't a good choice to add. I mean like one Decidueye is 15 USD. HAHA. Love Decidueye though.

Edit: You'll probably want 4 of them too.
