Ruling I need help with te move close combat

I have one question about he attack close combat which is an attack that only lucario LV.X from mysterious treasures and infernape from stormfront know. Well anyway you see I was reading it and it said 'during your opponents next turn any damage done to the card that uses this attack is increased by 30'. I figured that this must be an effect of an attack and I thought of unown-G. Anyway my question is "if I use close combat and an the defending pokemon has unown-G will I take an extra 30 damage next turn?"

I'm not very sure about it, but I think that the effect is in the pokémon that used the attack, not the defending pokémon, so yes, I think that you will take an extra 30 damage next turn. But maybe I wrong.

You'd take the extra 30. Unown G got an Eratta that said it was effects from your Opponent's pokemon, not your own. I don't think it would have mattered either way.

If the defending Pokemon has Unown G attached to it, then it prevents effects of an attack done to THAT Pokemon. However, the effect of Close Combat is done to YOUR Pokemon so your Opponents Unown G does nothing to stop that effect. Also even if you have an Unown G attached to your own Pokemon, Unown G does not prevent effects of your own attack.
