Welcome to the hardest game you've ever played.

The story behind IWBTG is simple. There's a dude, and he wants to be The Guy. Your goal is simple: reach the end.

However, this is the hardest game you've ever played. When I first played, bacon said I'd die in the first 20 seconds.

My first death came in about eight seconds. Yours probably will, too, depending on the path you take.

There are three on the very first screen.

This game requires a lot of patience. You will become frustrated. You might get a bit angry. There are numerous times when you may feel, "This is impossible! How am I supposed to get past THIS?!"

And there will also be my favorite scenario: spend 20 minutes getting past a really hard part, only to die three seconds (if you're lucky) after FINALLY AT LONG LAST getting past it.

As it says on the site, most people don't make it past the first few screens. If you give the game a try, you'll see why.

If you start playing and need help, ask bacon. He's farther than me. I'm on the fifth or sixth screen on the third path, right now. If you take the third path, and get past the Tetris part, let me know ._.

Lol this game already makes me mad. How do you play it on Easy? It only lets me do it on Medium. :F

Also, how do you SAVE??? I just got to my second one and I really don't want to go through that again. D:

Shoot the save points to save.

I got past the Tetris part! :D

Now I'm stuck on the moving wall....

Oh yeah, and there is no easy mode.

Even if there was an easy mode it would probably still be really difficult. I think the only difference between the difficulty modes is the number of save points you get (and in medium you have a little bow on your head :x).

For those of you who just started, there are three routes to choose from in the first room. The first you can get to just by jumping upwards. The second route is THROUGH the wall where the first set of spikes comes from (so time carefully), and the third is right at the bottom (for the third, when you fall down, you need to keep shooting the wall on your left and a spike will fall down, and you can land on it safely).

I went through the first route and have beaten the first boss (I won't spoil what it is but it's so funny). I'm on the second boss now and... well, you can imagine how tough it is.

I finally defeated the 2nd boss. What a nightmare. Especially since this game sometimes lags when a lot is happening on screen (for my laptop anyway), and believe me, lag is NOT NICE when missing a jump means the difference between life and death.

But man do I love this game. Apparently a prequel is in the works called "I Wanna Save The Kids"...
 
Tell me when you guys get to the ryu XD cant wait to see how pissed you guys will be! XD
 
Oh god another one. X_X This game is amazing in it's design but harder than Battletoads. :/

Yeah, I got owned by Ryu. That is probably the most random thing that's happened to me so far in the game XD

I've beaten 4 bosses now. :3
