Facility: Battle Cave
Special Rules: The rules are sort of like a combination between the Battle Pike and the Battle Castle.
You can enter anywhere from 1 to 6 Pokemon. The amount of Pokemon you enter will affect the amount of Pokemon your opponents will have. Your Pokemon will NOT recover after each battle.
You start out at the entrance of the cave with a map, 50 SP, and 3 paths to choose from. In the middle of the room is a Supplier, where you can purchase basic items like Flashlights(negates the lowered accuracy effect of battles for about 10 rooms) or Negotiation Coupons, which let you prevent a battle from happening for a price. Each path leads to a different room which has anywhere from 1 to 3 paths. In addition, half of the rooms have uncatchable wild Pokemon. When you enter a room, you may find any one of these things.
- Trainer (35%)
- Supplier (10%)
- Healer (5%)
- Nothing (50%)
If you get a room with a trainer, they will battle you right when you enter. If you get into a room with a Supplier, they can sell you items for Special Points, or SP. If you run into a Healer, you can pay SP to heal your Pokemon. Half of the rooms have nothing in them. In these rooms, you will find wild Pokemon. You cannot capture or run away from these Pokemon.
Somewhere in the Battle Cave is the exit. However, even if you find it, you cannot exit the cave until you get the 3 keys. You can find the keys in random rooms of the Battle Cave. Sometimes, trainers have keys. Sometimes, they are in plain sight. Most of the time, however, you will need to defeat trainers and talk to bystanders to get hints to find the keys. The cave is quite large, but anywhere you go, your current area will be recorded on your map. It's pretty hard to get lost unless you lose access to your map with a Negotiation Coupon.
Once you get the 3 keys, all of the trainers stop challenging you, but the wild Pokemon get stronger as you get closer to the exit.
Once you complete 3 rounds of the Battle Cave, you will face Ikuto, the Cave Head. The amount of Pokemon he uses is equal to the amount of Pokemon you chose. All of his Pokemon are chosen at random from the list.
