Igglybuff is a great starter. For no energy, you get one card and two more if you didn't play a Supporter. Plus Baby protection.

So, for Darkrai/Wigglytuff decks... Viable much? I'd say yes.

And Luvdisc. A free card for an energy and 2 more if it's a Pokémon.

For commons, these 2 aren't half bad eh? My buddy with a Water deck is testing out Luvdisc tomorrow night at our 8-player tourney get-togethers.

Luvdisc ain't great. The draw looks appealing but in reality, you have a 1/3 chance of getting 3 cards, and you have to show the opponent what you got.

Now, Igglybuff...it has potentional. Particulary if you play Fishing Engine + Claydol. Then you will find its services as a starter to be appealing. But Baby Protection? Lolwut?

No. Baby protection died when DP came out. I have the ruby/sapphire rulebook and it says so. If I'm wrong tell me. And what exactly is the fishing engine?

The trouble about igglybuff is that there's so many other magnificent starters out there and people only play igglybuff if they're playing the whole line.

Fishing Engine is with all that Ball stuff. Y'know, fast trainers, no supporters, except maybe Birch. Claydol is more effective tho.

Oh. You mean the ball engine. That+lunasol+claydol+blissey works. Very quick. May sound like overload but it isn't.
