Standard Inceneroar GX, Lurantis Deck Idea

This is my idea for an Inceneroar GX deck using the new the Lurantis from Guardians Rising and Flareon to change them to fire type. Please say any improvements that may be needed, however this deck is probably very weak :p I've never actually tested it out before. The strategy is to use Lurantis to increase the damage of Incineroar-GX, while also using Flareon to change Lurantis to a fire type so hustling strike does more damage.

Pokémon
Incineroar-GX/SM x 4
Toracat/SM x 2
Litten/SM x 4
Lurantis/GR x 4
Fomantis/SM x 4
Eevee/SM x 2
Flareon/AO x 2
Shaymin/RS x 1

Energy
Basic Fire Energy x 7

Trainer
Professor Sycamore x 4
N x 3
Rare Candy/SM x 4
Sky Field/RS x 3
Forest of Giant Plants/AO x 2
Ultra Ball/SM x 4
Max Potion x 2
Professor Kukui/SM x 1
Olympia x 1
VS Seeker/PF x 4
Lysander/FF x 2

:)

That looks like a pretty good list, but I do have some suggestions:

-2 Max Potion. Inceneroar doesnt discard energies, so I see no reason for these.

+2 Flareon-EX. You have absolutely horrible starters as Inceneroar is slow and everything else is tech and support. Tauros would be better but this keeps Hustling Strike's damage high.

-2 Forest of Giant Plants. Inceneroar and Flareon wont be out T1, so I see no reason for Lurantis to be.

+1 Skyfield,+1 Shaymin, Tapu Lele or Oranguru if budget.

Hope this helps! :D

consider your concept stolen, been looking for a new way to run this card since I managed to open five no-trade copies of it online. A few comments

1. A Tapu Lele + Lillie would be great here, Sycamore is kind of a dangerous draw option in the post Guardians meta due to Garbodor. I'd reduce your Sycamore count to 2 and include these two.
2. Brigette is a great card for this kind of deck that requires a lot of evolutions and building a bench quickly
3. Forest of Giant Plants isn't necessary here. Incineroar is going to be your limiting factor and you have to wait at least one turn to evolve him anyways.
4. As was mentioned your start is kind of dodgy, you kind of rely on your opponent playing slow. Entei AOR might be a better 1 prize attacker option to buy a turn or two to get Incineroars rolling or come in lategame after your bench has taken some hits, also benefits from Lurantis. You can reduce your Incineroar investment to 4-2-3
5. Definitely include 2-3 field blowers for removing FFBs. FFB means you need 1 whole Lurantis more to hit OHKO range on a lot of things. Also lets you remove stadiums including altar of the sunne which could otherwise let Solgaleo survive your attacks.
6. Kukui and Choice Band are two more cards that extend your damage which are great in OHKO focused decks like this one for when you just need a little bit more to nail something.

So just to mess around with numbers, you get 10+40 damage per Lurantis on your bench, so at 4 Lurantis and Flareon (a bench of 5 which you can maintain even if you lose sky field!) you can hit for 190 which is a great sweet spot number since that's how much HP most big GX basics have and takes care of all EX big basics.

As far as the max potions go, I like them, even though Incineroar doesn't discard it attacks for just 1 energy which means you can max potion then attack again on the same turn. I like to run thicker lines of that card if you want to use it though, so you might consider cutting them for other utility.

I like using Lurantis to boost up Incineroar GX with Sunny Day, but you should also just be running more fire types to boost his 1 energy attack. I understand you're running Eevee and Flareon to change Lurantis into a fire type but this means you're building a deck around a stage 2 and two stage 1 lines of Pokemon. This is going to be very difficult on you IMO.

Yes, that's the problem with it, but the only fire type basic Pokémon that I think could help this deck would be Volcanion (Non-EX). Although I don't really find his attack to be all to helpful to the strategy, because Volcanion is really just an energy distributor and the deck doesn't really on energy cards all to much, because Incineroar GX only needs one energy to use hustling strike.

Flareon EX is solid, fire Oricorio could help you set up. Even though Incineroar only needs one fire energy for hustling strike having at least one powered up to use the GX attack is a good idea, and having the extra fire energy on the board is just going to translate to more power from Flareon EX.
