Discussion Incineroar GX's Potential

Hello Beachbums,

Just musing about the potential of Incineroar GX, what really strikes me is that he has a 1 energy attack that could potentially do 170 damage. Especially with the addition of Nest ball (combined with ultra ball, level ball, and Brigette that we already currently have), it seems to me that it won't be too hard to put 8 fire types on a bench. Plus, a 1 energy attacker with 250 HP just shouts Max Potion. It seems to me that Incineroar could be quite formidable, I just a have a couple of questions:

* Has anyone heard definitively whether or not rare candy will work with GXs?
* Anybody got suggestions for fire pokemon to put in this deck other than Ninetales (seems like a must to lock in sky field)? Maybe Volcarona?
 
Rare Candy absolutely should work with GX Pokemon. They're Stage 2 and evolve from the regular basics, so yeah.

I think at the moment there aren't too many bench-sitters that work comfortably with Incineroar GX. It's a shame that Steam Up only works with basic fire Pokemon.
