Okay, since I've never played DP before, I must ask... does DP play the 2 active pokemon at once? And do people actually use the 2 on 2 battling a lot?

No, it's the same as always: 1 active pokemon. You usually don't see 2 on 2 battles in the tcg. But you can still do a 2 on 2.

Premier events are always played by the "traditional" game rules -- 1 Active Pokemon.

It would be cool though. Albeit only being allowed to attack with one of those two Pokemon in the turn kinda sucks... But it sure has it's advantages (Pokepower and Pokebody wise
)
I love playing double battle! It's much more fun than playing 1-on-1, but you never play it at tournaments.
