infernape's attack(lvl. x),flare up, requests that u search for 8 fire energy cards.some people in my area take up double rainbow energy also.is that alright or not

DRE does not count as a fire energy while in the discardpile. It says so on the card. It's fire energy only when in play, and discardpile in not in play.

no is correct, you need 8 fire basic energy in discard pile, nergy special in dicard pile no count.
