Infernape PLS

Does anyone know what could make infernape work better? I think there's some possibility, since it has a one energy attack letting you disable an attack of the defending pokemon, and a lot of pokemon have just one useful attack. Also, it has a two energy attack dealing out 120 damage which also involves discarding all energy

I'm just trying to find a way to burn out their switches so that their defending pokemon stays in

Ghetsis perhaps? It doesn't actually burn their Switches but it gets rid of them temporarily if they're in your opponent's hand. Infernape still doesn't stop them from retreating though and there's no way to stop them from spamming Rush In Keldeo EX (most decks run it nowadays to counteract Gothitelle Accelgor) short of KOing the Keldeo or setting up Garbodor.

Blastoise BCR comes to mind. If you want 120 per turn, you can deluge and attach for turn while also setting other attackers up, such as articuno. Also catcher and laser.

And deoxys ex

Fixed.
WHY DO PEOPLE FORGET EMBOAR?

I think Infernape could work with Eels if you're using Malevolent Fire as the main and Garbodor if you are not. Since you are discarding energy, Eels can get it back, and Garbodor locks Keldeo so that they can't retreat out of Torment.

We forget because its from the base set of bw and probably soon to be rotated. That an there is a SERIOUS lack of of real fire attackers, even in the form of EX. Water acceleration is way better with current pokemon

Set up accelerator, use your ex attacker that you power up with accelerator, while you attack set up other, and its prize trade time

Infernape PS
Thundurus-ex PF
Deoxys-ex PF

Set up Infernape wile Thundurus attacks as your starter. Then, switch out to Infernape to do its first attack.
With Deoxys Benched you can do up to 70 damage and the other player cant attack with its main attack.Forcing them to switch out to another pokemon.

Edit: If you do use Infernape's last attack, switch out with Thundurus-ex and attack, placing an energy back onto Infernape.
hope i helped

*cough* tin promo *cough*

Well, if not even the Shiny Emboar could flee from the eventual banrotation-hammer, how could the tin promo ever help emboar to maintain being legal during the next rotation (my estimation being DEX-on).

I really wanted to make an infernape deck using colres machine to power it up. However, 120 is just not enough.

You want knock out any EX and you will burn right through resources.

Also with keldeo running around infernape will get crushed.

What about using Victini EX for energy acceleration? Turbo Energize allows you to attach 2 basic energies to a benched pokemon, which is just enough for Malevolent Fire. Also, Infernape has free retreat, which is really cool.

Too clunky. Kyurem tears the deck to pieces in just a couple turns and it's too hard to set up evolution attackers in this format without some kind of extra help or way to slow down your opponent (e.g. Gothitelle).
