Interactive Pokemon Playthroughs​
Hi everyone, this is my "home base" thread for my new Interactive Pokemon Playthroughs series. Basically, this series involves you, the viewers, picking a game and my team of pokemon as I go through the story. So far we are on Season 1: Platinum. Following Platinum, I am planning to do a playthrough of Black in order to gear up for the main attraction, Black 2 which I should be receiving around the end of June. Please check out my channel which everything I do will be uploaded to for your viewing pleasure. If theres ever anything you guys want changed or think I could include or take out, send me a PM please.

I was actually planning on doing the exact same thing with Black 2 xD
I would definitely watch either of those. I love stuff like that, especially if it'd be a fellow PokéBeach member. Good luck with this ^_^

Oh, awesome this is great! Is anyone aware of a ds screen recorder or something? Im not exactly what to shoot this with since this is my first time sorry. And would you prefer a commentary or not? Personally, I think it makes for a unique play through with more interactivity and personality but il do what you guys want.

Agreed, alright. Youtube has enough basic editing software to get me by on this decent HP computer. Is it common to shoot these with external devices? I dont have a powerful dedicated video camera but I do have a 4S and I figure the quality of that should be fairly decent, but Id like opinions. Sorry if Im asking a lot, Im just trying to make sure this would be worthwhile to you guys and that Id be doing it right.

Try testing in advance, but I'd imagine that you'd be all right so long as it's steady and in very low light.

I don't know of any DS screen recorders that exist right now, no :/ I believe all of the people on YouTube that record Wi-Fi Battles use flashcarts... Anyhow, commentary is better, in my opinion. It makes things more entertaining.

Yeah I was wondering about how they did that, the quality with my iphone seems ok but apparently the otterbox case alone isnt gonna keep it at a good angle so Il have to work on this.
EDIT:rubber bands are always the best solution for everything :)
Il now be opening a poll for what game I should do first, il probably leave this up until the weekend. Unfortunately, finals are next week for me but Im sure I can sit down to do a 20 minute segment once every day

Black 2 is my main attraction and is a sure fire thing, dont worry. I feel like I could do at least 2 of these inbetween the time of its release and now though. It ships from play asia on June 23 so I should have it around the 30th or so I guess.
Also, if anyone has any technological art skill I would greatly appreciate a channel background with a shoutout to you of course.
And dont forget to vote!
EDIT:poll will close tommorow at 12 PM EST, the number one selected game will be chose or (hopefully) and agreement will be met, next will be voting for which starter which will commence immediately after the game is picked
EDIT 2:glad to see we have a four way tie...I will be randomly picking the winner right now...
Got the number three which corresponds with platinum, so my first walkthrough will be on platinum!

If you are making a platinum walktrough, I would follow it, AFTER I BEAT THE GAME (bold, capital, underline, italics) if you showed how to get the legendarys and anything else you do once the game is done.
Also I am confused. Are we voting for which starter you use in the walkthrough (tirtwig or chimchar, preferably - I frown on piplup) or just which starter is best out of the ones from platinum?

I am, please vote for which one you would like to see used, and which pokemon from the first gym or so I should use too (bidoof, starly, kricketot, ect.)
So far squirtli voted on youtube for pipup and kricketot
and I will be ending this portion of the voting thursday and recording up to the first gym
And paddy, I would be happy to do some post game once Iv gotten through the walkthrough if you want yeah

Ok, so my vote for the starter is tirtwig, and starly for the 2nd pokemon on your team. The reason I pick starly for your 2nd pokemon is you definetly need a pokemon that can learn fly.
