Has anyone here ever been scared by an internet screamer? What was your reaction? I know I have been scared silly by these things.... I hate them so much, but it's fun when you scare others with them!
 
You mean those videos where you stare at something for so-and-so seconds and then it yells at you?

...I hate those.
 
They're terrible pranks, but are also absolutely hilarious if you're not the one they're being used on. For instance, I recall one episode of America's Funniest Home Videos did a whole gag-reel once with people who were tricked into watching these and it was a different scared reaction every time.

I haven't had these used on me, though, and I'm still kind of dreading the day someone I know finally does...
 
arg these things...it makes me skip right to the end of ever youtube vid i get in emails to check that it isnt one...i absolutly hate these
 
Wow, safariblade, the first one got me pretty badly! I seem to recall one YouTube video that claimed to 'hypnotise you', but was actually a screamer at the end. I hate these things, yet they're irresistible for the adrenaline rush! ;)
 
I've fallen for it a few times but now it's made me create a habit of lowering the volume on anything I find suspicious and checking comments on videos. They're a huge waste of time, though, especially for videos that make you wait 10 minutes. I know you can just skip through the video but it doesn't really do much to help.

I agree that they're fun only on someone else. Reaction videos are the best.
 
...I personally dont know how you even like these kind of videos...
If you send it to one of your family members and dies from a heart-attack,then you will absolutely regret sending it.

Seriously,I wonder why people even make these ._. AND,don´t tell me that they make them for fun,because seriously,I wonder if some people have even had issues with these things,like,almost having a heart-attack. (Like me)
 
For someone who almost always has the volume off, I don't mind them.

I still have nightmares of my first Rickroll. Man was that loud.

I don't usually watch a lot of videos, but when I do see one of these it's really annoying. I just don't see the point in them though.
 
Never heard of an internet screamer but I have experienced something similar to it called, "The Maze Game." Yeah... The little girl from the Exorcist pops up in your screen and screams when you don't expect it.
 
Yelp my brother pulled one on me, but he did it while we were in a library...


Yeah they didn't like us after that.
 
I've only had one person trick me into watching a screamer. One of my mom's friends sent her one so she tried it on me. You were supposed to watch some short clip, then watch the same clip that supposedly had a slight difference you were supposed to find. I wasn't at all interested and was spacing out on top of having the volume way down, so when the screamer popped up I barely even noticed it. :p

I've come across some other screamers on YouTube, but since I have a somewhat slow connection I always pause videos to let them load and read the comments as they do, so I've avoided a lot of them that way.
 
I saw one once, it was where you stare at a picture of a room and there is supposed to be something odd about it, but after about a minute a really scary face pops up. Luckily, I had the volume muted at the time.
 
ow wow, i once played this game, it was pretty difficult actually, well anyways, at the final level you had to focus so much that you were in no way prepared for the end hahahha good times....ow and i hate those things. drives me insane.
