I think it's still decent, but not the greatest. LuxApe will run right through it, and there are better ways of spreading damage such as Gengar who can hit for more damage with less Energy. You'd need a pretty good start to have a pretty good chance of winning.

It still works but spreading is kinda been pushed out of this format.

Luxray hurts it and Nidoqueen hurts it but it beats Gengar so it really depends on your division and meta
