Hello PokeBeach readers! Isaiah here, and I am happy to be writing another article for you all!
Last time, I discussed my Charizard ex deck from Louisville, and I am still very, very high on that deck. In my opinion, the deck is still one of the best decks in the Standard format and I really do not understand why it has been struggling to put up consistent deep runs in this format. Perhaps I am overestimating how good the deck is, but I have not seen anything to prove me wrong. As of the time I am writing this, the Latin America International Championships has not happened, but I certainly expect the deck to put up a few strong finishes in the right people’s hands.

Taking a bit of a step back, one of the most overlooked results that has happened so far this season was Michael Davidson’s...

Speaking of Lost Origin, went to Target to shop for pet food, saw that they ALREADY had the $20 Black Friday ETB set up, and they completely forgot to put limits!!!

I'm so sorry for admitting this, but I bought close to 50 of the Lost Origin ETB. MAIN reason was because one of my favorite sets of all time is Diamond and Pearl: Platinum, with the Shaymin Lv X, and Giratina Lv X. Miss that set a lot, so the chase card being a Giratina, I HAD to get 50 ETB ($1100 after taxes), to try my luck at it. Lo, and Behold, on my 6th Pack of the 6th ETB, I pulled the damn Demon itself, Poke Satan! So close to a 666 though.
6th Pack of the 6th etb, but the 7th card in the pack since the 6th slot is for the reverse foil. Dang
Anyway, now I have 44 ETB left. I could try my luck for a 2nd Satan, but I'd rather wait until after Prismatic Evolutions. If the pull rates on that special set are as horrible as Shrouded Fable, and I don't get any good pulls from Prismatic Evolutions, then my therapy will be the 44 Lost Origin etb lol

It’s too bad there’s so little counterplay to Regidrago. If there was solid counterplay that would also be useful against other decks, it would be great to have. I can’t even think about what that might be though, since Drago can pretty consistently get the 3 prize turn even with Manaphy on the bench thanks to a well-timed Legacy Star getting a gust and a Cologne. There’s not really a one-card or two-card techs that swings the matchup that well. So you have to play from behind even if you’re going first, and if they’re going first, it’s bascially an auto-loss excluding a few very specific lines of play. Maybe Cornerstone Mask could work, since Drago has neglected running a Shred dragon for a while now. I might try cooking with that

Just play 2 Manaphy. Lost box has done it before.
