I run 1 tyrogue in my deck but as babies see less play Im not sure if it is still worth it. I am thinking to possibly keep it in as wheb I have no resources it can be quite good if you get lucky on flips. Should I still run it?

I personally don't like it because of the large amount of Yanmegas and the shrinking amount of cleffa, so it will often not get you any more prizes than it gives away. There's also the possibility that, like with any baby, you could simply fall asleep and stay asleep a while, letting your opponent get set up first.

I would honestly say no more than 1 tyrouge. I think 1 is essential because people will still run babies and you need to have a counter

Even if your opponent has a Cleffa out and you KO it with a Tyrogue, that Tyrogue's just going to end up as
a) something taking up a bench space, and
b) a free prize later.

I don't think it's too worth it.

Just IMO, getting the early prize with Tyrouge can make all the difference late game.

a)You go first and KO their Cleffa and they only run one
b) They have a horrible hand making them take more time to set up

Right, because you'll always be able to get out that Tyrogue T1, and you'll have a great hand without any refresh like Cleffa. You'll have just as good a hand as your opponent on average, so if their Cleffa is KO'd and you're not attacking with one, you're at just as much of a disadvantage. And let's face it, the number of Cleffa in metagame decks has dropped. Tyrogue becomes less and less useful.

Just IMO, its a great card still and even though the number of cleffa in the metagame has dropped most decks still run one and it doesnt hurt to run atleast one tyrouge

It is 100% not worth it. If you use it instead of something else to knock out a baby, the knockout will just be returned later and you will be operating with one less bench space. I could've donked two games in a row at nats if I played it, but I still don't regret not playing it.

is it really so hard to have a pokemon do 30 dmg?

if your deck needs a tyrogue to kill cleffas early on, then your doing something wrong

I'd say no...

Here's the question:

Are you going to risk a donk or an early prize lead for a chance of a donk?

I'd say no. Even though you could donk, it won't happen often, and possibly risking games with Tyrogue will both hurt and help you, depending on luck. I don't want my preformance to be even more controled by luck.

No, as there are a huge amount of Yanmega now and people simply aren't running that much babies nowadays, because of Nationals results and donks. Although you should still run one, as there will be a few decks running Cleffa still.

Running 1 Tyrogue is crucial. You can encounter a game where your opponent starts 1 baby, and you can donk them. Tyrogue has potential to donk YANMA, which is also super powerful. Don't negate him with this crap about Yanmegas. Its bound to happen. I'd rather them kill a Tyrogue to tie prizes with Yanmega than take a swing at my big guy. It's bait to kill so your big guys dont die.

Except smart players will leave the Tyrogue on the bench until all the heavy hitters are knocked out and then take Tyrogue as an easy last prize. Play 1 Tyrogue max, once Catcher comes out I wouldn't even bother. You could use that 1 card for more consistency instead of hoping for a T1 donk.

Not unless you manage to get two attacks off. Yanma has 50 HP.

They don't KO Tyrogue to tie prizes. They KO Tyrogue to take the last prize to win easily. Oh, and enjoy having one less useful bench spot the entire game.

Yeah, Tyrogue is basically a card that can either help you donk, or leave you open to being donked. Honestly, I think that instead of trying for the extremely unlikely situation that allows you to donk, you should add more consistency to your deck and avoid being donked at the same time.
