Is my card fake?

Today I recived a Delcatty from a trade and it seems to be original but the font on the card appears to be too bold, mainly in the Pokédex Info, in the Illustrator info and where it says "Evolves from Skitty". Is it fake?

Looks real. Keep in mind that they have not yet figured how to print holos.

There have been quite a few occurances of the font "bolding out", so to speak, by kind of smudging. This happened on several Platinum reverse foils. This seems to be a prime example of it.

It wouldn't be the first I receive a fake card, so I think I'm a bit paranoid about that. Even when I receive a real booster box, I look to the cards affraid that they may be fake...

To check if they are fake, you can check if they have the accent over the e in Pokemon

Actually, a lots of my friend's little brother's fake cards DO have the accent over the "e". They've changed that recently. However, it is still incredibly easy to tell if a card is fake by looking at the energ costs.

Actually I never happened to see it on a Platinum card before, I have seen a bunch (and even own some) from Legends Awakened that have this exact same "problem".

They are bolded, some smudging (but not always the case). But they are definitely 100% real as is yours. Just my best estimate a sort of printing error.

But definitely not a fake, so don't worry.

You can always check teh backif the area just to the right above the pokeball has some black/blue shading and is not all just blue than it is real.

this is a really common error with the reverse holos. Looks real enough to me!

This is how you can tell if a card is fake. 1. Take the card that you think is fake. 2. Take a real card and bend gently (with the Pokeball facing regular RED up White Down with your two fingers at the side of the card and squeeze very gently). 3. If the fake card is too bendy than it is fake. 4. Usually on fake cards the back is not as dark as the average Pokemon Card is. 5. And if it has foil on the text then it is not fake.
