Ruling Is Skarmory from Undaunted playable?

I thought it was pretty good for metal decks but then PTP said it was terrible. I'm confused.

There are better ways to get energy than to use Steel Coat. Trainers/Supporters and certain Powers/Bodies for example.

My friend uses it in a Scizor Prime deck to power up his Scizor on the bench. It seems to be pretty playable.

I don't think so, at least in the theme deck it's terrible.

This isn't technically a rulings question, so I think it's supposed to go in this forum.

On the topic I really don't think Skarmory has any practical use unless you're desperate for yanking Special Metals out of the deck.
