Is the Rayquaza vs Keldeo Battle Arena Kit Legal?

I just wanted to know before I buy the Keldeo VS. Rayquaza deck if it's still legal. I'm very new to playing the TCG at my local shop and I saw this box and watched some videos on it and it looked like it had very good cards. I think it could help me a lot and eventually when I learn what cards are good for building decks I could edit them into this deck, but if it's not legal I don't wanna waste any money. Thanks :)
 
The Rayquaza vs Keldeo Battle Arena Kit itself is only legal in the Expanded format, from Black White-onwards. However, some of the cards can be used in the Standard format, since they have been reprinted in Standard-legal sets. These cards are:

Zapdos ROS
Octillery line
Articuno AT
Regice
Float Stone
Karen
Level Ball
Lysandre
N
Sycamore
Ultra Ball
VS Seeker
Tierno
Switch
Skyla
Fisherman
Professor's Letter
Rare Candy
Shauna

The rest can only be used in Expanded.

Ok thanks. So I can play with this deck. I just have to make sure my local shop runs extended, right?
 
Correct. Or you can pull out the Standard cards and make a different deck with them.

At my league, everyone plays Standard, but a few players also bring Expanded decks for fun sometimes.
