Is this a scam?

So, I was looking for a place to get free pokemon cards to expand my trade thread and I found a website called points2shop. I tried it out and everything seems safe and "non-scammy". I just want to know if anyone has tried this or thinks it's a scam. (link is in my signature)

So you don't know if it's a scam or not, but signed up anyway? (Yeah, I checked the link before clicking it.) Sounds more like a way to get free referals than actual concern. And yeah, I've heard of that place before, and don't trust it.

I used completely fake info at first to see if anything was bad. Well, my computer hasn't exploded from viruses:p and I've seen about 2000 different posts from people and their videos showing proof of purchase, so I can't be sure. (trust me if there's anything I know a lot of it's antivirus programs and security)

Nope it's 100% real. Iv been using it for over a year and not just for pokemon stuff, although I did use it to get 4 free boosters and a typhlosion prime tin recently. As long as you fill in your REAL details and learn how to use the site properly, it's well worth doing, and I'm almost ready to get another tin from it ( a second garchomp c tin).

Thanks, cuz I was going to order a Raikou/Suicune Legend with this first:p.

Usually places like that are legitimate, but make it really hard to cash in your points. I got a DS from a similar site about two or three years ago. Took $40 worth of offers and 6 months, but I got it.

What concerns me is this is a way to make 50 points on the site. Awfully close to advertising.

My money for nothing site i've been using is inbox dollars. Don't really have to anything... Basically they pay you nominally to receive spam mail. It's like, 5 msgs a day and like 2 cents a MSG. They give you 5 to start with, as a gimmick, seeing how you need to amass $30(GOO!) before you can cash in. Always a catch...

I started doing it a couple days ago, and I've got an EX Legend Maker pack on its way! :D Until I receive it, I dunno exactly, but it seems legit. I'm going for a Luxray GL LV.X, or a booster box.

Points2Shop is not a scam, but it is very slow. Try this website: All you do is search random stuff (like google) and you earn points. With those points, you can win a random pokemon card, or $5 paypal which you can use on ebay! Heres the link.

Link of Awesomeness

I don't have paypal and I actually received $7 within a few hours so its good enough for me. Besides, I'm really only going to use it for pokemon or video game stuff and not extremely often. I think it's pretty legit now.

I used to use that years ago and yes it is a scam. It is almost impossible to get enough points to buy, a pokemon card. Then finally when you get enough and start to buy it. It will say it needs your credit card and then it just charges it to your credit card.

that seems like a scam to me. Don't try and get free stuff from businesses/ the internet. it never works out that great.

I'll let you all know when I get my pack, but it's not necessarily just clicking ads, you can play games for points too. It's difficut though, but rewarding if you win.

I know this is cliché, but nothing is free in this world.

I haven't gone to the website, but I'm assuming you have to do "tasks", in which some are extremely hard to qualify for?

Either way, the site's reaping the benefits of your hard labor. If you choose to participate in these tasks, go right ahead. I'm not stopping your or anything, but I'm simply pointing out the logic behind the "free".

Would I call it a "scam"? Not necessarily. The majority of "popular" sites out there that offer "free stuff" usually obligate you to complete surveys. The surveys are usually worth a minuscule amount of points. You'd have to complete a LOT of surveys to qualify for those free items.

Like dooman said, it probably is slow to acquire points. And like a few other people said in this thread, there's always a "catch".

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents.

As EspeonROX said, there are also games and lotteries where you can earn about $100 on the spot. Plus, if you have referrals, you get 15% of what they make, 3% of whoever they refer, and 2% for whoever THEY refer.

I just got my Legend Maker pack. A few of the cards were slightly bent, (not the RH or rare, so I didn't mind), and it came within a week. Points2Shop FTW! :D

If I was you I wouldn't really trust these kind of websites. But you did a good thing that you created a thread asking if people have tried it out and have gotten anything from that site. If you get other people opinions about the website, then you can learn if it is a scam or legit.
