I haven't played pokemon cards since the platinum set came out. I need to know what new cards i need to know about. Any help is thanked. I am mainly looking for supporters.

^Luxray is pretty easily the best card in the game right now, but in terms of Skeleton deck Building, Pokemon Collector, Bebe's Search, Pokemon Communication, and Palmer's Contribution, and expert Belt are standard T/S/S. In SP, you also need Poketurn, Aaron's Collection, Energy Gain, Power Spray,(EDIT: also SP Radar), and Cyrus's Conspiracy. If you are Playing a Stage 2 deck, you'll also need things like Rare Candy and Broken Time-Space. Also, Uxie and Azelf LA are standard cards in any Competitive deck.
Blaziken FB, luxray GL, Ambipom G, Infernape 4, and Lucario GL are good SP Pokemon from RR-on. SP Radar is a staple trainer for SP's.
Flygon Lv. X, Donphan Prime, Jumpluff, and Gengar #17 AR are popular stage 2 Pokemon. Spritomb is used in many stage 2 decks, to speed the up.

I'm not huge on SP pokemon, that's part of the reason i took time off of playing. Thanks for the supporter cards listed. What set is jumpluff from? I've heard much about jumpluff.
Jumpluff is from Heartgold/Soulsilver.

Anyway, you gotta focus on speed now. Stuff like Kingdra, Machamp, Gengar, they're all fast and hit pretty hard and are as such the better S2's.
