Japanese 1st and RH

It's to my understanding that in English 1st editions were printed from Base Set to Neo Destiny. From Expedition to Hidden Legends they printed RHs similar to the ones we have in DP-on and in Fire Red and Leaf Green started doing the pic holos as alternate verrsion then from Team Rocket Returns to Power Keepers had made pic holos with the set name in the lower right hand corner of the picture as the alternate version.

All I know about Japanese alternate versions/editions is they started getting RHs in their first legend set.

So i guess my only question is, when did Japan start/stop getting 1st editions and did they get any of the alternate holos from Expedition to Power Keepers?

In English, every set through base to Destiny had 1st editions. HL was actually the first set to have the picture holo for RH cards. Japanese 1st editions started with the VS set and they've had them in every set since. Only the LEGEND sets had mirror foils.
 
I'm not sure about alternate holos, but Japan still does 1st edition cards. (since VS)
 
You're right, HL had the pic holos.

So the legend sets had 1st edition, reverse holo versions of every card and Japan had no 1st editions before the VS series? That's surprising all pretty crazy.
