can u use japanese cards in your decks if u have a reference of the card because i want to buy a gardevoir lv.x which is in japanese, thanks

Yes, you can, There are a few things you have to be aware of:

Make sure your sleeves dont show the back of the card in any way. Japanese cards have different backs. The prerelease sleeves are great sleeves for this stuff.
Have a copy of the card-dex for the card handy AT ALL TIMES.

Fulfill those requirements and you got yourself a tourney legal japanese Gardevoir X.

yeh ok thanks and i woild like to get an english one but i cn only get a japanese one

But the Lucario ones are a bit see-through.

Sorry to ask this question here but what if the Japanese version's artwork is different from the English version's artwork?? For example; Gallade...

You can still use it. The artwork does not matter so much.

Sorry to tell you, but it does matter. You can't use a Japanese card that has different artwork than the one in the English version of the card, even if the wording is the same.

Where is this Gallade with the alternate art? All I've seen are these two, and they sure do look pretty similar ;o

Anyway, thanks for answering the question.... :)

@ PMJ: I will scan my Gallade & put it up in a short while...
Ok, here is my Gallade

P.S. Sorry for double posting...

Isn't that from the deck???

Sorry, according to the rules, it's not allowed for play.

Yes, I eventually have nothing better to do & bought the deck, hehe... :D
Ok, just to confirm, if the artwork is the same(Japanese & English), we can play it right??

Yay, that means I can use Gardy LV X... :D
Anyway, thanks... :)

Just remember to have your reference ready at all times ;)

The alternate art Gallade came from the japanese theme decks (Dialga and Palkia lv.X theme decks). I have both of the decks and all the pokemon cards in them have alternate art. The only modified tournament legal cards from those theme decks are the energies and trainers :/ That is really sad for me cause the Ampharos would have been nice if it was tournament legal X(

theres one on ebay and it say's its from night dashing moon hunting is that ok to use aswel?
