many people thought that Ethan/Hibiki that appears in HG SS and pokemon 13 movie is the same Jimmy from G/S/C and Legend of thunder,actually the difference in design confused many people including me,Ethan looks different from jimmy..

they both have the same style but different design,Jimmy from Legend of thunder looks the same as gold from GSC while Ethan from movie 13 looks like Gold from HGSS
still it was not clear maybe that was a redesign that happen to many characters,from Generation I > Generation IV just like Jasmine
the one that appeared in johto journeys looks the same one from GSC
while jasmine that appeared in diamond and pearl series looks like jasmine from HGSS,which have a different design
not only deference in design but jasmine in johto have blue eyes while in diamond and pearl have brown eyes,
strange.
this might give hope for some people that Ethan and Jimmy are the same person.
