I was looking down the hireachy thread and just read the updates and it said removed Junior Moderators. What were they?

Junior Moderator is the group that I came from. d:

The Junior Moderators were staff members (Trade Council, Experts, etc.) that were given a small promotion and were also given moderator powers, only in certain forums. The idea was to create a kind of 'training' position for potential moderators. We had them for only a short while.

Bam, Pride, and I were all taken from our staff groups to be Junior Mods, and a couple of months later, we were promoted to Moderators. There were no Junior Mods selected after that promotion, hence why the group was taken down.

I think that is a great idea.
I think we should bring them back and elect some for all the forums.

Hmmm, perhaps you should've stayed...

Regardless, it was a "Mods to be" usergroup. I can't say we definitely need something like that now, because if you look around, you can see the active people in all the groups and the ones most likely to be picked to be a Mod. I can't say if it was a good idea or not, but I definitely don't think it's absolutely necessary at the moment.

dmaster out.

d_master, there's a reason you've been banned time and time again, and it's for comments like this. We appreciate your sharing your opinion on the Junior Mod matter, but unneeded and unwanted words will result in; well, another ban. Clearly not your greatest fear. I don't want to hear any more about this.

Anyway, I feel this is something that would be a good discussion for the members, so I won't lock it.

Actually, not these kinds of comments, but you're right on the banned part. Whatever.

Actually, there's where you're wrong. I posted my whole opinion on the topic at hand. I thought you were allowed to do that on here? I'm sorry if you took my comment the wrong way. It was not supposed to belittle you. In fact, I would take it as a kind of complement.

And I agree, I'd like to hear more opinons on the matter. I'm sure the Members will have something interesting and perhaps conflicting with my opinon. But at least they won't make empty threats to ban me at least...

dmaster out.

Either way, both of your comments should be towards PM, as they have nothing to do with the situation at hand; the future.

I also believe that a junior moderator program would be beneficial, but only if we shed some of the excess off.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea, if you pick the right people...I don't really care if you start it again, but it might help future mods become better mods:)

This would be a good idea.

Who knows, maybe someday I'll be in that small group. ;)

I don't think we NEED Jr. Mods, but I can definitely see some benefits come out of it. The biggest one would be that it gives future full-blown mods training, which is needed for any job. If any mod resigns, it wouldn't take much effort to hire a replacement, so to speak.

I could see this as being a positive addition in the long run, though. We'll see what happens, if anything...

Keep telling yourself that...lol

My opinion on this is that it is a pretty nice idea to do if say a mod gets inactive or quits, and you need soeone from cc tc or other staff positions to step up, but you need them to have experience, then you make them a jr mod for a month or two.
I can see this thread turning into a bunch of people saying "I wanna be a jr mod, vote for me, pick me!" I'm not going to say this should not exist, but as for those people, your effort could be used elsewhere.

This could turn into a problem though, people fighting for positions.
Some will thinks it's unfair and that the member doesn't deserve that position.

What would we do there?

I guessing almost the same things mods do, just etheir in a smaller area of the forums or with less power...And people who would fight about, just do something for the forums and help people...Fighting for the job makes sure you won't get the job=/..

Some people might not want it, but they still don't think the person getting it deserves it.

You don't get it, he isn't looking for any more staff, therefore if you fight over a staff position you will only make yourself look like a noob. When wpm elects a staff member, you should trust his judgment or leave, not cry and scream about it. And from my experience he doesn't make a big fuss about getting staff, he just does it. End of story.

I'm not saying that I'm fighting for it. Some people just might get riled up over why they didn't get it.
