Junk Hunts vs Lysandre's Trump Card

Which one of these would you consider more consistent? There was a Sableye that does the same attack but is much cheaper, but it is rotated. At the moment we have Diggersby XY which is a Stage 1 that takes [C][C] for Pickup, putting 2 item cards from your discard into your hand but doing no damage to the opponent.

And Lysandre's Trump Card as you all know returns all discarded cards on the field into their owners deck.

Let's take an example where you run 4 copies of a splashable item card, such as Crushing Hammer or Hypnotoxic Laser. In order to recycle them during your game would you:

a) run a 1-1 or 2-2 Diggersby line and spend valuable DCE on it
b) use your supporter for the turn with LTC and hope that you draw into some of the item cards

I feel that Diggersby is the winner here unless you happen to have a Professor Sycamore in hand when you use LTC. But I don't know...it's a tall order to put a Stage 1 line in solely for this situation. And then once you have your items back it's basically bye bye DIggersby and your opponent gets a free prize card.

Which would you choose?

LTC is obviously the winner here, because it is way easier to fit in your deck and also way easier to utilize. It's not even hard to get another supporter in hand with all the VS Seekers that just came out.

RE: Junk Hunts vs Lysandre's Trump Card?

Yeah, thought that would be the case. You can team Bicycle with LTC as well, I guess.

And you can go with cards like Roller Skates and Fiery Torch to draw into your deck as well if you happen to play them.

Honestly, neither one is very good. Lysander trump puts your hole discard pile back into the deck, so you get everything back, even the stuff you don't necessarily want. it also gives your opponent all of their resources back which could hurt you. Diggersby does not replace sableye at all. its a stage 1 so if you run a 1-1 its not going to be very consistent. and running 2-2 is out of the question because that's a lot of deck space for a card that has an expensive attack cost (compared to sableye). its better to just use the spot for the items you are planning on getting back in the first place.
Lysander trump is a decent card in the right deck, but not for what you are thinking about using it for

This is very accurate reply, Sableye was an extremely good card and turned the discard pile into a toolbox for any dark deck, or deck that could make room for him. I do not feel playing Diggersby is worth it in any deck. As for LTC, you really have to weigh a lot of options before even playing this onto the board.

What is in your OP's discard pile vs what is in yours, what are you giving them back vs what you want them to get back, and what you are getting back vs what you dont want. I feel atleast 2/3 of these have to be in your favor before you even considering playing the card.

LTC lets you play more aggresivly and discard cards that could be inportant latter in the game.

Sableye and LTC are both solid plays, I play LTC in almost every deck I play just because it helps get resources back so well.
