Just wondering why the server is down

I was wondering, why does the server go down? What causes the forum not to be working sometimes? It has been down for 3 days and seems to be an off and on problem, so I would like to know at least what is causing it.

Sources tell me that it was down because the rate at which people clicked per second (cough cough KG cough cough) got too high, so the server needed to be expanded to keep up with the growing member base. So its a good thing AND a bad thing...but I don't think we'll see much more happening now.

WPM is being sued, so they shut the site down due to illegal things.

The pictures of people and the scans are what I heard is the problem.

Thats what I heard from out tourny organizer.
