Keldeo Blastoise Help for State Championship

Hello everyone! I need help with my Keldeo Blastoise deck list because I'm entering the state tournament. So I just want to polish the deck a little. You guys could write as many comments as you like! My deck list currently is below.

Pokemon = 14
Blastoise 3-1-3
Keldeo EX 3
Mewtwo EX 2
Bouffalant (Gold Breaker) 2

Items = 23
Hypnotoxic Laser 2
Computer Search ACE SPEC 1
Energy Retrieval 4
Pokemon Catcher 3
Eviolite 2
Super Scoop Up 3
Ultra Ball 3
Switch 2
Rare Candy 3

Supporters = 8
Skyla 3
N 3
Juniper 2

Energy = 15
DCE 3
Water Energy 12

The strategy is to get out Keldo EX and Blastoise on field. Mewtwo and Bouffalant are late game attackers. I figured there would be lots of opponents with Lasers and Virbank, so if someone comes out with laser and virbank. I could surprise them with a laser back and in addition I could just replace it with Plus Power that I used to run when Plasma Storm hasn't came out.

Do you guys think I have too few supporters?

Oh, and plus if you guys know any way of adding something that could give me an advantage for Rayeels please let me know.

Yes, most definitely. You currently only have 5 card draw Supporters. I'd suggest the following:

-2 Eviolite. Your opponents will account for the -20 damage and either still 1-2HKO your Keldeo EXs.

-1 Skyla. I believe 2 should be sufficient.

+3 Bianca/Cheren. The Ultra Balls and Computer Search will deplete your hand; Biancas and/or Cherens will replenish your hand.

I like running Kyurem (DrV), a 130 HP, Dragon type Poké that has 2 attacks:
  • Dragon Claw (for CCC energy cost) inflicts 60 damage; and
  • Blizzard (for WPCC energy cost) inflicts 90 damage onto the defending Poké and 10 damage onto each of your opponent's benched Poké. Not only does this Kyurem 1hKOs Rayquaza EX, it also 1HKOs PS Black Kyurem - expect to see this Poké added to many Blastoise-Keldeo EX decks.
This Kyurem requires your changing your energy mix. I'd suggest:
-1 Mewtwo EX,
-1 DCE,
-1 W,
-1 Super Scoop UP,
+1 Cilan,
+1 Kyurem (DrV),
+2 Psychic.

Lastly, should you decide to include the suggested Kyurem and P energy, that initiative would also allow you to easily add a Safeguard Sigilyph (you could replace a Bouffalant) which you might find quite effective too.

This Kyurem is so bad though... Psychic energy in an already steep energy cost? No thanks.

Your opinion. Your reasons? Also, please offer your suggestions for countering RayEels.

KBRocks wanted an idea to counter Rayquaza EX; that Kyurem is a legitimate counter despite the P energy requirement. Besides this particular Kyurem also provides a counter to Klinklang and Sigilyph.

So, what are your thoughts regarding the inclusion PS Black Kyurem in Blastoise-Keldeo EX decks which would also require Lightning energy. "Bad" idea too?

No, it isn't bad because it:
A) is a 180 HP EX
B) OHKOs the format
C) can use next set's Kingdra to get discarded energy back.

DRV Kyurem:
A) 130 HP basic non-EX, which is OHKO'd by Darkrai w/claw after Laserbank, a common occurrence now
B) Only OHKOs Rayquaza and Black Kyurem, and while those are big threats, it's not as good as OHKOing the format. Very situational in that regard.
C) Cannot recycle Psychics with Kingdra from next format. You're using up space for energy you will likely use once and then never recycle.
D) has to drop 4 Energy onto a 130 HP card. Not easy to do, especially with Darkrai destroying you, as well as Ray killing you with a 2 energy Burst.

My suggestion? Honestly? If you're having issues with Rayeels, you're going to continue to have issues with Rayeels. It's not exactly a great matchup. There is really no way to consistantly beat Rayeels other than to run your standard 4 catchers and kill every Tynamo or Eel you see.

Not relevant NOW for upcoming State tournament per KBRocks request.

Again, KBRocks question focused on RayEels, not Darkrai decks. In this matchup, might not need to play it at all.

Agreed. However, it's nice to exchange 1 Kyurem (1 prize) for a Black Kyurem EX (2 prizes). Also, if opponent playing Klinklang has the "plasma shield" up, EXs attacks are nullified. Kyurem can at least attack the KK deck's Poké.

And Blastoise can easily Deluge 3 W energy onto Kyurem and after attaching a P energy, can KO a Ray EX. Again, a 1 for 2 prizes exchange. Again, 2 for 1 - still a good deal.

I would dump a Wartortle, and get me a 4th candy. Much more efficient.

Looks like it. Drop the random Max Potion and a Black Kyurem EX (you don't need two) for a regular Keldeo from BC and a fourth Juniper. You're not running Tropical Beach so you need all the draw you can get.

Thank you for your inputs.

2 Tropical Beach if you can get access to it. Its too good not to have
I'd love to have Topical Beach. However I'm not mentally ready to invest that much for the state tournament at this time. I want to see how far I can go without Tropical Beach.

I have to think it over. Thank you for your advice.

so is blastoise ur only answer for random ex haters?
This deck is very tight on space, not the greatest match-up against Klinklang deck. I find my Klinklang deck beats my old version of Keldeo Blastoise (with 2 Bouffalant) for almost every battle...

Looks good. I will test it. Thank you for your great suggestions.

Good plan boy. Accept the autoloss to Klinklang.

You know, that massively hyped deck? The one that this is its FIRST STATES?

Yeah, you're gonna want a Hydropony.

Thanks. I'm open to the idea of bringing Klinklang deck into SPT. I'm testing and tuning on both decks and see which one I'm more comfortable with.

I was being so sarcastic in that post it was pouring out of the sides.

You need to have an answer to it. NEED.
