Hey pokébeach, i used to play pokémon tcg casually as a kid (dayum this account stil existsafter 4 years) and I ordered cards to build a Speed Lugia deck so I can play competitively.
My first tournament (cities) is in january, so i decided to order sleeves, too. I read good things about the KMC Matte Black sleeves, so i ordered them.
So i just got them in, and I looked really hard for markings. And well, I kinda found a lot of them. You can actually make out the cards just by looking at the back. This is only if you put them right under a light source and you look really closely though.
So, has anyone had this issue before? I'm being pretty vague, but is it considered marked if you can only see the markings with a lot of light? Maybe if someone would give me the most damaged sleeves they have seen in tournaments, it could give me a rough idea of how serious this is.
And well, it's not like all the cards have the same markings, so it's definitely disinguishable. I wouldn't see it while playing though, or I'd have to try and get the right light in front of the judge lol.
It's not like I'm going to nationals with this to a big tournament either, just a cities and I'm in the senior divison, so maybe judges will go easy on this sort of thing?
(Can't include a picture because the damage is so minimal the amount of light you need to photograph it is so much it covers up the entire card. You can see it irl though.)
