Ruling Last action.

Well, it seems that around my area, alot of people are saying theres this new ruling, where you can take back your last action, as long as it was not an attack.

Say for instance, you attached an energy, and then 20 seconds later, you call it back while your hand is off it. Is this new?

The person who brought it up (Stigma) says at Nats, thats where it was heard from.

False. There is nothing new on this topic.

You can take back an action if your opponent permits it. Otherwise, no. That has always been the rule.

Not 20 seconds. Like .5-2 seconds if you put your hand back on it.
Totally out of context.

If you take your hand off of the card, you must ask your opponent to take it back. Otherwise, it is cheating. Even if it is 1 second, you must still ask.

From my experiences with many different judges it is my understanding that as far as rules go as soon as you let go of the card it is considered in play.

From what i hear, If you have the card on the table you may ASK your opponent to take it back but in large torneys don't expect to be able to take back a move once the card is in play.

You can take back a move if your hand is on the card, or your opponent allows you. Beware, as they will usually want to take something back later and say "But I let you take so-and-so back" :p.

The larger the tournament, the less likely for your opponent to let you take it back.
