What is the format of the LCQ for Worlds 2011? I read something that implied it was best 2/3 single elimination. However, in the past I remember there being swiss rounds. Which is correct? Thanks for any help.

Wow... That's disappointing; a lot of people will fly all the way out there to play two games and be done... I thought the Pokemon organizer people were better than that. :/

Yeah, it makes it more of a test of skill than the past year, because if you go undefeated you deserve to get into worlds

Yeah or by sheer luck you played ZPS and just barely managed to avoid every Donchamp out there. Or the best player there could choose to play ZPS because he thought there wouldn't be any Donchamp and was dead right, then he gets paired 1st round with the only Donchamp in the tournament. Wow, I might not go then...

And also, is it for sure just top 8, or will it be like other years where they always let more in than they guarantee?

Yeah I am totally not going but... My friends are.

Take it from me. The best part of Worlds isn't the tournament. Sure if you get in that's awesome and all, but people still show up every day to play with new people, trade, and meet people from around the world. Also there will be pre-releases, and league events throughout the day. (League is awesome at Worlds btw)

I guess it makes you lucky if you don't face a deck that autowins you. If you play Magneboar, and your opponent plays 4-4 Donphan with bouffalant to kill RDL just to troll you...
