So unless I change my mind tomorrow morning, which I doubt I will at this point, I decided on running Golisopod GX/Garbodor for tomorrow's LC. I flipped back and forth between every deck in the current Meta and ultimately decided on this one for a couple reasons. I've been playing this deck off and on for a couple weeks now and feel pretty comfortable with it, it has some great matchups, and I like that it's a deck that can set up fast and do good damage for only one energy. I feel good about the list I put together, but would still like any last minute suggestions for me to try out online tonight while I practice.

Looks great. I personally prefer 1 Super Rod and 1 Rescue Stretcher over 2 Stretchers. You might want to try to slide in a third Band, maybe take out 1 Grass for it?

Good luck at the cup :)

Hi HouchinsDJ,

Nice list. Consider these modifications:

- 1 Tapu Lele GX (this deck does not have the bench space for three of them and you have Pokémon recovery to get Tapu Lele GX back)
- 1 Rescue Stretcher (Super Rod is also nice in this deck since it can recover Grass Energy too)

+ 1 Tapu Koko (the deck needs the free retreater real bad and his attack is a perfect math-fixer)
+ 1 Super Rod (more diversity and also able to recover Grass Energy when needed)

Would be interested in your experiences with dead draws and consistency with this list. Hope this provides some initial assistance.

I'm in agreement with a 3rd Choice Band as well. I like the 3/4 Band/Stone split for Garbodor decks.

At the same time, there's not much else I would remove that would make having a 3rd Choice Band distinctly better. If anything, I would say the Tapu Koko since you're already running 4 Float Stone and can use your own Garbotoxin Garbodor as Guzma pivot. I do personally think the optimal turn 1 board is Wimpod in active, Brigette for 1 Wimpod 2 Trubbish so you can have 2 Golisopod GX constantly tagging out for First Impression, and 1 of each Garbodor. Arguably there's no point in setting up a Trashalanche Garbodor early game, so I can see the Koko coming in as well so that you only need 1 Golisopod GX. It's a toss up, but it's the only thing I would consider because of 4 Float Stone.

I would personally pass on the Super Rod because you only have 4 basic energy cards in the deck, and you only ever need 1 attached to Golisopod GX. You absolutely want to be able to Rescue Stretcher a Stage 1 into your hand after a KO to not lose momentum. If you're looking for energy restoration in this deck, I would say Special Charge is much better for your DCE & Rainbows, and 1-2 Special Charge will probably become mandatory if this deck wants to survive Kartana GX upon release.

How did your league cup go? It seems like there was a lot of league cups this weekend. Out of curiousity, which state was your league cup in?

Mine was in Las Vegas! And I did okay. I actually took a different deck, haha. I ended 2-2-2, which for my first LC, I can't complain. I'm going to make a post about it here in a bit detailing my matches!
