I've been out of the loop for a while, and I was wondering now that DP is out which sets are legal? Deoxys and up I hope.
 
Yes, Deoxys and up is the current format. However several sets will be rotated out after Worlds. But for now it's Deoxys and up.
 
Unknown yet. If you want to be safe, don't trade in a lot for DS. Its borderline. UF, EM and DX are sure-fire goners, DS might go and might stay, LM-on is safe.

Eh, I wouldn't be 100% sure of that. Wasn't LM released before DS in Japan, it probably won't happen, but, what if to keep things fair they rotate out LM instead and keeps DS?
 
We won't mis alot. Mew Ex, some other Ex's and some Pokémon (Like Victreebell). Most want DS to be in next Season
 
Steelix-ex is a pretty big blow to some people. The Lati@s*, Ray*, Plusle (for those who use it), Milotic-ex (I'm joking),m and a little more.

There's some decent cards from DX and UF. ...EM is well...:/
