Legendary Pokémon(TCG)

Do you think its important to have legendaries in the TCG?

Some of the guys in our country, thinks that if you don't have legendaries, you suck.They said to me:do you have a Kyogre ex?I said no then he said it was important to have.Then I told him that the attack of the ---- thing was 40!I mean, why are legendary pokemon important to have in the TCG?Some non-legendary pokemon are stronger than them!

So, any comments?
 
I dont think it is neccesary to have any legendaries in a deck but i do like the latios and latias from DF
 
I like them as a card and i know they are not the strongerst card and they are not neccesary and if they where taken out i wouldnt care but they give the game that story that it can flow around, i also like the look of the DP ledgendaries but they are a lot worse than a lot of cards so bvasically it doesnt make any difference if they where there or not
 
it doesn't matter whether is important to have legendaries pokemon in the deck or not because if they are strong, we might use it but if they are weak, we won't use them....

There^that's my point!Even if the are legendaries, they are not the strongest cards!That's why I hated my cousin when he said that I suck cuz I don't have a Kyogre ex.Kyogre ex's attack is 40 for ---'s ----!

But I'm asking, is it important for you to have legendaries?
 
Course it is not important
the game would not be different if they where not there but they are good cards (Some of them) from what i know the only rubbish legal ledgendarie at the moment is Kyogre but ceribii could also count as that is rubbish in my opinion
 
I like legendarys, but it woudn't be good because my Sally is even better! My friend has a Kyogre ex "tsunami" one, he bought it for $40+ but he didn't use it. I would use it, if I had any water energies. But its not good. I would say they are not neccessary. oops, I posted to wrong poll!?!?!??!
 
i like them but i dont see any point in having them
some of t5hem are such as the groudon cards but it wouldnt be missed so it doesnt make any difference
 
In my opinion the majority of the legendaries are not worth having in a deck. The only ones used are the Latios/as cards, and then maybe Mew, but aside from that the others haven't been used in this format.
 
I come from the same country as gpm. I agree w/ him. My cousin 2 years ago keeps on asking me "do you have a mew? do you have a mew?" It sounds more irritating w/ his cute voice and if translated to filipino. I keep on saying no n he keeps telling me that im weak bcuz mew has the "dna" of all pokemon. So what, its still weak. I took the fever away from him, took care of him so it wont come back and he bcame more than immune. He won nationals the past 2 years while im still stuck at cities (poor me) :(
 
Mew is a very good pokemon though, EX and otherwise. They can be very useful to be sure.
 
all you actually need is 60 decent cards, legendary or not.
To be honest, legendary doesn't matter in the TCG, yes, they might have more cards, and might always be basic (which is good, cause we would have few basic ex otherwise), and might all have 1 or more ex versions (up to 4 o_O), but you don't need them, they are not way better then other cards, not like the GBA/DS games
 
Sometimes yes because there attacks are powerful but not as strong as other and in the hands of an expert they can take you out especialy if they are in EX form.:)
 
I think that in the card game legendaries don't matter because of how the game works. Like you could have a Rayquaza as a regular rare card and some "common in viedo game but really strong EX or star card" ready to 1 hit KO it.

The fact that they are legendary's isn't really important. However, in recent times, alot of them have actually been playable (lugia ex, lati@s*, lati@s ex, lati@s lock, lati@s ds, mewtwo d, ray*, ray ex, ray ex (dx), ray ex d, groundon ex (CG), kyogre ex (CG), mew ex, mew ex (HP), mew*, suicune ex, registeel ex (EM), regice*, regice ex (HL), regirock ex (HL), zapados ex (RG), celibi ex (pop2), deoxy ex (speed, defence, and attack), jirachi (Dx), jirachi (HL), and jirachi ex). And thats just off the top of my head that are playable/actually good at one time or another.
