Well you know what they say, 3 times the charm and boy was it ever at my 3rd Battle Roads over in Lenexa, Kansas. Compared to last time I played in 6 rounds instead of 4 cause we had enough of a player turnout to support it.

1st Round against Accelgor/Kingdra/Vileplume (Brad Clarkson) - I manage to get a solid setup going and sweep for game. My opponent managed to paralyze my Zekrom until I played a Switch to get around it, he gets Item Lock with Vileplume but by then I had alot of board control on my side.
Win: 1 Loss: 0
2nd Round against ZekEels (David Pruitt) - This game I had a terrible setup since I opened the game with a Tynamo as I couldn't get a Draw Supporter or a Dual Ball out on time and the only other Basic I got was a Shaymin and had I not of played it I would've been donked badly. I do manage to get Mewtwo out but by then he had board advantage for game anyway.
Win: 1 Loss: 1
3rd Round against Blastoise/Floatzel (Forgot Opponent's Name) - Felt bad for the guy, he opens the game with a Buizel and I open with Zekrom and manage to Outrage for the donk to win the game. I asked him If he wanted to play a game to make up for the donk for fun but he declined my offer cause he had something to do I guess.
Win: 2 Loss: 1
4th Round against EX Klinklang (Mason Has) - This matchup was very interesting, I get a solid early game setup as he struggles to catch up but eventually he does catch up to me in prizes and we almost go down to Sudden Death with 1 prize left each until I manage to pull a win out of my butt with a Mewtwo with 7 energies attached by using Junk Arm to get back Catcher to bring out his Kyurem with damage counters to win the game which came down to the wire.
Win: 3 Loss: 1
5th Round against Celebi/Mewtwo/Tornadus (Damon Welch) - I get a solid setup going early game getting heads on Dual Balls, I manage to win the Mewtwo war with no problem, and I KO his Celebi's with Zekrom using Bolt Strike while maintaining aggro advantage to win the game. Oddly enough my Opponent ran Shaymin EX over Tornadus so I guess you could call the deck CMS per say.
Had my opponent had a better opening hand the game probably would've been even and it would of made the matchup more interesting than what it was. This was the second time beating CMT with ZekEels for me so I'm proud.
Win: 4 Loss: 1
6th Round against Empoleon/Terrakion (Stephen Hernandez) - I get a horrible start as I open the game with 2 Tynamo and eventually I get 1 Tornadus EX from Dual Ball. My opponent manages to get a solid early game setup and literally sweeps me for game. I knew Empoleon has alot of potential but it's arguably one of the best Stage 2 decks in the current format right now.
Win: 4 Loss: 2
So I manage to do a whole lot better than my previous Battle Roads and I'm glad I'm off to a good record as well. I won't make it to Nationals cause it's too far a drive from where I live so I think I've had my fill for this Pokemon TCG Season thus far. To all my opponent's I had a great time.
