Ruling Leveling Up

Ok, this question may sound dumb but I just wanna be sure about it. Can we level up a Pokemon LV X from a non-DP pokemon??
For example(1 & only!); play a Gardy LV X onto a Gardy PK instead of Gardy SW??

Yes you can. There are no limitations on what set version of the pokemon you can level up from. You could even level up a delta species Gardevoir from DS to Gardevoir lv.X (In unlimited play of course.)

How about leveling up an ex?
Chansey ex to DP blissey?

You cant go Chansey EX to DP Blissey because it has to strictly state that it evolves from Chansey EX which it doesnt!

You can do Gardy PK to Gardy Lv.X o sure!
