LieBuzz deck! Where to go from here? (Liepard/Mandibuzz)

Hi everyone!

I've posted a bit here before and got some great feedback on my Excadrill/Machamp deck and I thought I'd put this up here to see what you all think is the next thing I should do to this deck. Ive played it a bit with my playgroup and I'm fairly happy with the way it works. Ill post a brief synopsis of the decks function at the bottom. Thanks in advance!

Pokemon (22)
2-2 Zoroark (BW)
3-2 Mandibuzz (BW)
3-2 Liepard (EP)
3-1-2 Krookadile (BW)
2 Zekrom

T/S/S (24)
Energy Retrieval x2
Juniper x2
Collector x2
Energy Search x2
PETM x2
Twins x2
Communications x4
PlusPower x2
Cheren x2
IQ x2
Rare Candy x2

Energy (14)
Dark x6
Fighting x4
Special Dark x4

My two main attackers are Mandibuzz and Liepard, ideally in conjunction with Liepard spreading damage via Feint Attack and Mandibuzz switching in to finish everything off and grab a few quick prizes from the bench.

I had previously ran Machamp in here, but felt like Krook was a better choice requiring less Fighting Energy to operate and adding the utility of Torment, along with Krookoroll being a suitable alternative after a damage spread from Liepard if Mandibuzz isnt out, or ready. Zekrom is basically there for bad Krook Matchups and just generally being Outrage-ous. :DDD

I feel like the T/S/S might be a spread a bit too thin and I think thats where most of my feedback will come from. I'd really like some centralization, but its hard to decide what to cut.

Thanks again for any advice, comments or critiques!

Bump. Mostly looking for help cleaning up the trainers. Thanks guys!

I just have a couple questions. During play testing, how well did Krook work for you? I am asking because maybe you would do better with Tyranitaur Prime. That way you can spread for just one energy, use dark and DCE instead of Dark and Fighting, all while still being a stage two so it would just be a simple swap of energies and pokemon. I would also sudjest Kyurem as your Outrage dragon over Kyurem because it can hit donphan for weakness.

RE: LieBuzz deck! Where to go from here?

Hi Meta, thanks for the reply.

Krook has been fantastic in every game so far. Torments denial keeping big hits from coming in to him really maximizes his 140hp along with Krookoroll capitalizing on damage already dropped by Liepard. I had considered swapping him out to try something different, but I think id like to try using Hydreigon as his replacement for more damage spread with similiar (if not less) set-up time.

I think that Tyranitar Prime may not be the best option, since Darkness Howl hits my own bench for 20 and my other pokemon tend to have low HP, besides Zekrom.

As far as Kyurem in for Zekrom, I think that in the current meta for tournaments thats a solid idea, and I plan to get a hold of at least 2 when NV releases. But for now, I encounter quite a bit of grass and electric in my playgroup. Zekrom is definitely a variable though. (Plus, I just got my FA, and its too hard to resist playing it :p)

Darkness Howl only damages your non {D} Pokemon, which would only be (fill in dragon of choice here), and in that case you can just turn around and use that damage to fuel outrage attacks. It sounds like Krookodile is been good for you, but I would definitely test out Tyranitar since it seems to have much more synergy with the rest of your deck.

RE: LieBuzz deck! Where to go from here?

Giving T-tar a second look, I think you're absolutely right about replacing Krook with T-tar Prime. Bringing in DCE and the T-tar line will synergize much better for Mandibuzz cleanup.

Any advice on fixing up the trainers?

RE: LieBuzz deck! Where to go from here?

Too many different types of supporters. Run more copies of only a few supporters. Your deck will be more consistent for it. Maybe something like this for starters?

-1 Zekrom
-3-1-2 Krook
-2 IQ
-2 PETM
-2 Energy Search

+1 Kyurem
+3-1-2 Ttar Prime
+2 Collector
+1 Juniper
+1 Cheren
+2 Junk Arm

Pokemon (22)
2-2 Zoroark (BW)
3-2 Mandibuzz (BW)
3-2 Liepard (EP)
3-1-2 Tyranitar Prime
1 Zekrom
1 Kyurem

T/S/S (24)
3 Cheren
4 Pokemon Collector
3 Professor Juniper
2 Twins

2 Energy Retrieval
4 Communication
2 Junk Arm
2 PlusPower
2 Rare Candy

Energy (14)
6 Dark Energy
4 Special Dark Energy
4 DCE

RE: LieBuzz deck! Where to go from here?

Thats very close to the list I came up with earlier today. I swapped Kyurem for Cleffa (I'm not really sure why I did) as the only difference in Pokes. But for Trainers I kept in IQ since it was going to be using 8 special energies and I cant Search for them. Instead of Junk Arm I had put in 2 Super Rods, I figured that being able to put more into the deck was worth it.

The choice between Junk Arm and Super Rod though depends, at least for me, on whether or not this deck will run the game quickly or not. I do see the strength of Collector, but I don't know if the deck really needs 4 copies of it.I'm currently running two and often times I find myself not using the second after an early game Collector, which is what kept the IQ in for me.

How about Cheren vs. Sage's Training? I think if I were to opt for ST, Junk Arm, as well as Energy Retrieval, would become quite a bit stronger in the deck.

This is all great feedback guys, keep it coming!

RE: LieBuzz deck! Where to go from here?

If you want to run Sage's Training, I wouldn't run Juniper just because that's a looot of discarding. I would do Cheren + Juniper or instead Sage's + PONT.

instead of running juniper and energy search i would recommend running things like n and pont to add more draw power and so your not discarding your hand to much with juniper also n can cause disruption to your oponent more
