Art Gallery Light's Designs - Cards, Drawings, and Fakemon

Well, looking at things, since I'm only two illustrations away (plus two I have yet to receive from Double O squirtle) from finishing this, I think I better pick up the pace. So here's a two-for-one deal:

Yes, it's probably the poorest card I've yet done. I don't care much about lopunny, really.

Another day with two for one. First, I wasn't at all happy with how my Alolan Ninetales came out. She deserves better than my first attempt at the style; I'll fix that illustration, but it still wasn't as good as I'd wanted, as a fundamental thing. So I redid her; first and only time I've done so.

The drawing is much better than it looks here; lately, all the holosheets have been doing is ruining my best work. I'm starting to regret making every evolution holographic; but, how can I say no to shine and sparkles?

And after that, why not Brionne?

Pokémon-Amie is a super interesting concept for a card (though perhaps it'd work best as a Stadium?), but the art you've gone with is official TPCi art, and needs to be credited as such.

Also, did I miss something of yours down the line that allows you to attach more than one Tool to a single Pokémon? I'm questioning the effectiveness of Lurantis.

I knew I was forgetting something. I even had it corrected already.

Well, there's the Phi Style Ancient Trait (which lurantis and many others have), Gardevoir's Psychic Generosity Ability and Stylish Bag. That's partly why I kept the damage at 30.

Okay, by my count I'm missing Primarina, the Oricorios, Steenee and Tsareena, Buneary and Lopunny, M Diancie and her stone, and Battle Chateaû. That's the good news.
The bad news is that for some reason, photobucket isn't showing the pictures I had stored there, so the list I recently made is useless.

So, I'm going to do this; I expected to do this when I finished the sets, but this is the album for Beaming Elegance, with all the cards in it (I'll also add it to the OP); it's much more practical than formatting a list and using photobucket.

So since I'm revealing Beaming Elegance (because Shining Spotlights has more incomplete cards), here are three more cards:

No new cards yet, but I updated the first post of the thread with the albums I had to add, and cleaned up a little.

Meanwhile, I'd like to know if anyone had any opinions about the cards, the pokemon selection, the blank (and holo) style, the colors, the art styles, the power levels, synergies, anything. What's good, what's bad, what could use some more work.
Regardless of if I'm going to change anything, it's always good to know how those things look to others; besides, I might or might not have made a new, small batch of cards, so if there's something I can correct before starting them, I'd like to know it now.

Okay, then. Anyway, here's one more card: Tsareena, the missing card of Beaming Elegance.

The final cards of Shining Spotlights will probably take some time. I'll probably release the two Oricorios I have pictures of when I finish Lopunny, then I'll figure out what to do with the other two Oricorios. I really wanted to release the four together.

It's been a while, but here are the "last" cards of Shining Spotlights: Lopunny and two of the Oricorios. I'm missing illustrations for the other two; I'll figure out later if I want to do them myself, but I'd prefer it so they all had matching styles. In any case, I really don't care much about oricorio, and it's been too long by now, so it doesn't bother me much to have them missing.

So. No new cards yet.

I know, such a terrible disappointment.

But, what I do have new is, well, as @bbninjas and @Jabberwock often point out, my illustrations are always completely below the holosheets, when in reality they should be with the pokemon on top and the background below. So after all this time, I finally changed them. Some are better, some are worse (admittedly, the flatter styles don't work well with that approach), but I suppose that at least they're more up to standards now.

Anyway, if you want to see how they look, go no further than the first post of this thread, and follow the links to either collection. Hopefully, I'll integrate this in any future cards I make.

Your 3d art is really really good, i didnt see it before your thread, and you deserves a applause, i really like your art in general, your templates are pretty good, i dont like so much because looks like a beauty Concurse cards, but they are originals and very creative, maybe you want to try an oficial templates? I really want to see your art on full art card, that's will be awesome!

I'm sorry you don't like the blanks; I figured that would be the case for some people, but that's okay; I've done some cards with the official blanks in the past, but I found them too stifling and troublesome; once I made my own blanks, I never looked back. As for full arts, they're not quite my thing, but you can find a secret full art (not in the official style, though) in both collections; Shopping Trip and Pheromosa.

I checked the cards, they should all be visible; I made sure to remove the private protections. Unless you're talking about the cards inside the spoilers, in which case, yes, the originals were replaced some time and the links are dead. But all of them are in the galleries I linked to, though.

I have not seen all your work before since I mostly browse Deviantart. The few cards I can see here are lovely Prof.!
Your also one of very few card faker's out there who also do Pokémon tcg sets. The thing I love with the sets are that they share a certain theme. Your Shining Spotlights set have many Pokémon tool Interactions- with the fancy shopping concept where all Pokémon can be considered "beauties" eligible for contest. The set for that reason is both brilliant artistically (where all cards matches each other), and from a game point of view. Exactly what I am trying to achieve with my sets also.

I'm a big fan of these blanks, and as I mentioned earlier, especially how you approach the gameplay of the Pokémon tcg. You seem to share many of my beliefs of the game where you for instance don't do Basic Pokémon cards with ridiculous high Hp. Love to see more from the sets!

If you want sets, I'm hardly the only one here who made some (and in fairness, mine are of 40 cards, so they're sets like Radiant Collection is a set), you can look for BBninjas and Jabberwock's, who are well on their way to finishing theirs (of a decent length), or CMP's, who has a really extensive set, even if it has some technical difficulties.

But yes, like you, it irks me to find high-powered basics; the game is supposed to be about evolving pokemon and working your way towards having a team; if you can just plop down an EX or GX or something, charge it up in a turn and win, that's not fun for anyone. My sets are not competitive; they have a million flaws and disadvantages compared to official sets, but that's kind of the point; when the environment in official cards is so toxic that nothing outside of a few decks and cards has a chance of lasting long, something else is needed.
That said, I have no idea if these cards are balanced or not. Maybe they're too complicated.
