Ruling Linoone and Discard Pile Seaches Questions

When using Linoone's (Ruby+Sap) Seek Out, you can search your deck for up to 2 cards. So I pull off the top card of my deck. Nah, I don't want it. I pull off the second card of my deck. Nah, but wait, now I want that first card! Can I pick cards that I have already picked up off the top?
Whenever you search your discard pile, your card pick any of the cards, not just the ones on top, right?

If you search your deck, you can hold your deck in your hand. Then select the two cards from your deck that you want by looking over what your deck has to offer you at that point. The same goes for searching your discard pile.
