Welcome one in all! This story is about my SoulSilver video game. If I ever mention a character called Troy, thats my HeartGold charcter. Without further ado, Soul of Silver, Introduction!

“VOL! VOL! VOL!” the custom Voltorb alarm clock rang out, the miniature Voltorb popping in and out of a fake Poke ball. Brendan jumped out of bed, hitting snooze on his Voltorb. Brendan Keys was excited; because today was the day he was going to a Pokemon from Professor Elm.

Before we get too far into the story, I must explain one thing. First, Brendan had gotten into Pokemon when he was only eight. A Pokemon training, breeding, and collecting legend known as Red was coming to a neighboring town, Goldenrod City. Being in the distant town of New bark, Brendan and his Mother spent two whole days traveling to town, along with Brendan’s best friend Troy, who protected them from the various Pokemon.

Now, Brendan thought of Troy of as a Pokemon king. He had all eight Johto badges. Troy owned exotic Pokemon, even some from Kanto. His Drapion was his strongest one, and a friendly Pokemon at that. Brendan hoped to be much like him when he started.
After finally making it to Goldenrod, the famous Red was swarmed a flock of fans at the Town Square. After waiting in line after the police calmed down the crowd, Red signed Brendan a picture of a Pikachu resting atop a Snorlax. Brendan was amazed. He made Troy look like a lonely Caterpie. At that moment, a Pikachu ran up Red’s shoulder, the very same in the picture. The crowd burst into cheers. Red’s Pikachu was rated the strongest Electric Pokemon in Kanto. After seeing what one Pokemon could do, Brendan was hooked like a Magikarp.

Ever since that day. Brendan collected cards, TV shows, and even played often with the neighbor’s Glameow, an exotic cat from Sinnoh. After heading downstairs, Brendan’s mom, Terri, caught him on the way down.
“Good morning honey. Want some breakfast?”she said.

“Okay, Mom. So when did Professor Elm say I could come over?”

“Well, honey, you should ask Laura that after breakfast. I saw her playing with her Marill outside”.

“Mom, can I just skip breakfast? I need to get a Pokemon.” Brendan asked.

“Fine, just pack some food.” Say hi to Elm for me, and don’t forget to come home show your Pokemon.” Terri replied, Handing Brendan a bag. “It has lunch in it too.”

“Bye, Mom. Love you. Be back soon.” Brendan said, walking out. Troy just then walked out of his house, a scorpion perched on his head.

“Oh, good morning Brendan.” Troy said casually. “Have you met Skorupi?”

“What IS that?” Brendan asked.

“It is Drapion’s son.” Troy said. “He’s very strong.”

“Well, I have to go… see you later, I guess. I’m going to get a Pokemon.” Brendan said.

Brendan walked to Professor Elm’s door and knocked. “Enter.” Brendan walked in and found Elm observing a Weedle evolve.

“Very busy. Pokemon are on the table. Pick one please.”

Brendan walked to the table and found three sleeping Pokemon. One looked like a fire ant-eater with flames on its back. “Cynda…Cynda… QUILLL…” It yawned in its sleep. “What is this one?” Brendan asked.
“Good choice. It’s a Cyndaquil.” Elm replied.
Brendan stroked its back, finding it cool. It woke up and blinked at Brendan. “Cyndaquil?” it whispered.

I love how you mixed different regions together.
Brendan is from RSE
Goldonrod City and Professor Elm are from Johto,
and Red is from RBY(G).
I also like your strong word usage. Keep up the good work! This one's a keeper!

Not a bad start, but it is pretty short. I suggest that you add to it to ensure that it doesn't get locked.

I know. But I am almost done part one.

By the way, thanks FlamingDriscoll09! I apologize for the lack of material on the intro. There will be at least 8 Chapters, each chapter adding new Pokemon and Badges. Okay, so here is Chapter 1.

Back in New Bark Town, Brendan Keys was torn between the three amazing Pokemon. Professor Elm, an expert of Pokemon evolution, stood at his side. Brendan was leaning toward the Cyndaquil, which was now awake. But the leaf Pokemon, Chikorita, and the water crocodile, Totodile, both seemed amazing, silently yawning in their peaceful sleeps. The Chikorita looked like a grass dinosaur, while the Totodile looked like a, well, a crocodile.

The Cyndaquil was staring expectantly at Brendan when Troy, Brendan's best friend, barged into the lab. "What the heck was that about? I said, like, eight words before you barged off!"“SKOR! SKORUP!" the Skorupi agreed.

"Yeah, about that... I was over excited. But I saw the evolution of a Weedle! That's cool, right? It was spinning silk all over itself, like SPWUUHH!" Brendan made a face like an Aipom would make at somebody after stealing their hat. (Sound familiar?) Troy only glared venomously at him.

Professor Elm cut into their feud."Boys! Troy, I expect you keep quiet until Brendan picks his Pokemon. Go ahead, pick, Brendan. I know it's a hard choice, but we all make it. Well, except me..."

Brendan was ripped. This was a bigger decision than when he was trying to pick between a poster of a Zangoose or a Seviper. The Fire Mouse Pokemon yawned, waiting for the immortal phrase "I choose you". During the ruckus that Troy caused, the other two had woken up, and now stood waiting as well.

Brendan finally made up his mind, and uttered the eternal words: "I'll take... Cyndaquil.”

Counting up the words of both Chapters, it seems that the first part is half the length of what is permitted here and the second chapter is one/fifth. With those kinds of lengths, you're really going to have to fix it up here. I'll give it a couple days. I expect to see a lot of text or this will be swiftly locked.

dmaster out.

Sorry dmaster. Give me just a bit longer. I am working on the next chapter. I will upload it hopefully on or before Wednesday.

It's short, but it's pretty good. Maybe a bit more description and depth in the chapters would make it better. Also, character description would be nice so we know what Troy and Brendan look like.

So it may have been a while, but i'm almost done with the next part. Lets all hope this story just doesn't get locked.:p But i will definently have the story up today.

In advance, instead of saying "dollars" while referring to Pokemon currency, I'll say "money" or just the number, because I have no idea what Pokemon money is called.:( Sorry about the delay, but it will still be up today. (Doing chores) :p

So i finally finished the next part, and to all super moderators reading this, it takes up two and a half pages on size twelve on microsoft word and contains 817 words. So if that is not enough, please inform me on this thread. Constructive criticism appreciated. So here we go; Chapter 3 of Soul of Silver.

In the quiet town of New Bark Town, a blooming hero was finally getting his first true Pokemon. Brendan Keys now stood with his best friend Troy pouting in the sidelines, the esteemed Professor Elm watching beside him, and his first Pokemon standing on the table in front of him. Brendan had chosen a Cyndaquil as his first companion and was talking to Elm about taking care of his new Fire Mouse.

Professor Elm explained swiftly, “So try to give it check-ups at Pokemon Centers often, and if it ever looks weak, try to use a potion when needed. You have probably heard that you can only carry six Pokemon at time. I think that’s about it.” Elm finally stopped to breath.

Brendan nodded. His blue eyes flicked to the window and thought he saw a glimpse of a head of red hair. Brendan saw that Troy’s looked like he saw something weird too, as did his Skorupi.

Yet at that moment, Professor Elm’s computer screen flashed. “Excuse me boys.” He said and walked over. “Well… Brendan, as you know, I asked you here to pick your Pokemon. But my good friend Mr. Pokemon needs a request. Should you choose to accept to run my errand, he needs a package to be carried from his place back to my lab. So do you want to go pick it up?”

Troy just then asked, “Wait, why him? I would have it back as fast as you could hope. I’ve done plenty of this stuff.”

“No Troy. Brendan needs experience. This will be good training for him, so he will be going.” Professor Elm replied. The Professor turned to Brendan. “If you need some help, here are some potions.” He said, handing Brendan five small bottles.

Brendan finally replied, “Wow… thanks Professor. Do you think Cyndaquil will be okay?” he said, looking down at his Cyndaquil, who sent up the slightest flare to indicate its response.

“I certainly think so!” Professor Elm laughed. “I suppose you should get going. But visit you Mom before you go.”

Brendan replied, “Well thank you Professor Elm. I’ll be back soon. Try not to hurt anybody with that scorpion, Troy.” Brendan said jokingly, walking out the door and over to his house.

As he opened the door, Brendan heard his mom on the phone. “Are you sure? Oh… Ok, I’ll keep an eye out.” She said, putting down the phone.

“Mom, who were you talking to?” Brendan was almost worried.

“Oh, there are just some ruffians called Team Rockets running around. But as long as Troy and Laura are around, I’ll be fine. So, what Pokemon did you get?” Brendan’s mom asked.

“I got this Cyndaquil.” He replied, holding out his Pokeball and releasing his new-found companion. “But that’s not what I wanted to talk about. Professor Elm asked me to get a package for him. I won’t be back until the evening, probably. So, can you watch after my money? You can just keep half of what I have now, and every time I stop by, I’ll give you half of that.” Brendan said, handing his mother 1500 money.

“Oh Brendan honey, just be careful out there. Try to be back by ten o’ clock. Oh, I’m so proud of you. Remember, the Mankey are out at this time of night, so take a baseball bat.” Terri said. (Terri is Brendan’s mom, as explained in the introduction.)

“Mom, you don’t hit Mankey with baseball bats. That’s a Pokémon’s job. Just not with a baseball bat… So I’ll be back later. Love you, Mom.” Brendan said, ready to leave when his mom said: “I love you too, sweetie.” Brendan walked outside and headed to Route 29.

Brendan was overjoyed. For the first time in his life, he was walking out into the lively Routes of Johto with his own Pokemon. Finally, his dream was beginning. Yet he didn’t know whether Professor Elm would provide the newest Pokedex to him. Either way, by training his new Cyndaquil he could fight all the Gym Leaders and maybe even the legendary Elite Four.

But just then, a huge bird Pokemon flew way overhead, accompanied by a rainbow so brilliant and bright that the sun was almost not needed. Perhaps this meant something, that Brendan would do something incredible. As if to respond, a huge feather dropped onto Brendan’s head. Brendan picked it up, and his Cyndaquil stared at curiously. Inside this feather gleamed the colors of the rainbow, flashing through the air and dancing across the plumage. Brendan stared at it in awe, and carefully tucked it into his bag. Surely this meant something.

Brendan set off once more feeling inspired and giddy. Little did he know that that single feather meant the beginning of something amazing, an event that would make history. Brendan stepped onto the grassy paths of Route 29 and didn’t look back.

I am sorry, but a little over 800 words is not enough. It MUST be at least 1000 words. As it stands, the last chapter was only ONE and a half page in Microsoft Word, not the minimum two. No choice but to lock this.
