Welcome one in all! This story is about my SoulSilver video game. If I ever mention a character called Troy, thats my HeartGold charcter. Without further ado, Soul of Silver, Introduction!
“VOL! VOL! VOL!” the custom Voltorb alarm clock rang out, the miniature Voltorb popping in and out of a fake Poke ball. Brendan jumped out of bed, hitting snooze on his Voltorb. Brendan Keys was excited; because today was the day he was going to a Pokemon from Professor Elm.
Before we get too far into the story, I must explain one thing. First, Brendan had gotten into Pokemon when he was only eight. A Pokemon training, breeding, and collecting legend known as Red was coming to a neighboring town, Goldenrod City. Being in the distant town of New bark, Brendan and his Mother spent two whole days traveling to town, along with Brendan’s best friend Troy, who protected them from the various Pokemon.
Now, Brendan thought of Troy of as a Pokemon king. He had all eight Johto badges. Troy owned exotic Pokemon, even some from Kanto. His Drapion was his strongest one, and a friendly Pokemon at that. Brendan hoped to be much like him when he started.
After finally making it to Goldenrod, the famous Red was swarmed a flock of fans at the Town Square. After waiting in line after the police calmed down the crowd, Red signed Brendan a picture of a Pikachu resting atop a Snorlax. Brendan was amazed. He made Troy look like a lonely Caterpie. At that moment, a Pikachu ran up Red’s shoulder, the very same in the picture. The crowd burst into cheers. Red’s Pikachu was rated the strongest Electric Pokemon in Kanto. After seeing what one Pokemon could do, Brendan was hooked like a Magikarp.
Ever since that day. Brendan collected cards, TV shows, and even played often with the neighbor’s Glameow, an exotic cat from Sinnoh. After heading downstairs, Brendan’s mom, Terri, caught him on the way down.
“Good morning honey. Want some breakfast?”she said.
“Okay, Mom. So when did Professor Elm say I could come over?”
“Well, honey, you should ask Laura that after breakfast. I saw her playing with her Marill outside”.
“Mom, can I just skip breakfast? I need to get a Pokemon.” Brendan asked.
“Fine, just pack some food.” Say hi to Elm for me, and don’t forget to come home show your Pokemon.” Terri replied, Handing Brendan a bag. “It has lunch in it too.”
“Bye, Mom. Love you. Be back soon.” Brendan said, walking out. Troy just then walked out of his house, a scorpion perched on his head.
“Oh, good morning Brendan.” Troy said casually. “Have you met Skorupi?”
“What IS that?” Brendan asked.
“It is Drapion’s son.” Troy said. “He’s very strong.”
“Well, I have to go… see you later, I guess. I’m going to get a Pokemon.” Brendan said.
Brendan walked to Professor Elm’s door and knocked. “Enter.” Brendan walked in and found Elm observing a Weedle evolve.
“Very busy. Pokemon are on the table. Pick one please.”
Brendan walked to the table and found three sleeping Pokemon. One looked like a fire ant-eater with flames on its back. “Cynda…Cynda… QUILLL…” It yawned in its sleep. “What is this one?” Brendan asked.
“Good choice. It’s a Cyndaquil.” Elm replied.
Brendan stroked its back, finding it cool. It woke up and blinked at Brendan. “Cyndaquil?” it whispered.
