Looking for My First Physical Standard Deck

So I played a lot of standard online and the two decks I enjoyed the most were nightmarch and gallade/octillery both sadly not playable in current standard so I played them online in expanded.

Now I'm wanting to try out the physical game as there's more events near me popping up and I have the time/money to dedicate.

Cards I currently own are

4 professor sycamore
4 N
4 Vs seeker
3 ultra ball
2 lysandre
1 skyla
4 trainers mail

picked these up as they seem to cover the base of most decks. Now I'm left wondering what next. I'm basically unwilling to bu Shaymin EX at its current price so I know this takes me off a lot of decks. I'm very happy to play tier 2 if needed I'd just like something that can do well at my local game stores etc for now!

Based off this could anyone put me on to a deck? I'd appreciate the help a lot!

Moved from the TCG Competitive Play to the TCG Help & Advice as the OP is looking for help on getting into the physical game. ~bbninjas

You were right to buy those cards you listed as they are pretty much staples in every deck. Due to this, however, I can't really suggest an exact deck based off these. If you can't afford Shaymins though, you could try Rainbow Road. It works quite nicely with Octillery as a draw engine and imo is much better. It also makes use of Ninetales PRC, Carbink FCO and Hawlucha STS. Carbink and Hawlucha are easy to pull and all three of those are fairly cheap.

double o gave some great advice up there. Some good resources for Rainbow Road include this article and this skeleton. In addition, I suggest you check out this PB article that delves into some great budget deck ideas. Otherwise, you may like to look at the Deck Garage or PB's Metagame Deck lists for some deck ideas that you are interested in.
