Lost Gar

Hi guys been working on my Lost Gar deck so here it is

12 Energy
-------------
9 physic
3 Rescue energy

21 Pokemon
----------------

1 Smeragle
3 ghastly
3 Haunter
3 Gengar
2 Spiritomb (Tm)
1 Jirachi
2 Mr.Mime JR.
2 Slowking
2 slowpoke (Undaunted)
1 Magnezone Prime
1 magnemite

27 Trainer, support, ect.
--------

4 seeker
3 pokemon collector
3 rare candy
3 lost world
2 level ball
4 pokemon communication
3 proffesor oak new theory
2 twins
2 Rocky Helmet
1 flower shop lady
--------

The jirachi is for evolutions if the deck runs slow my main concern is Zekrom and hard hitters thats why I have the rocky helmets to dish damage back and the lack of energies (Not sure if I need more?) and if I should lower the amount of slowpoke/slowking/mime jr. and add a smeragle? Maybe pokemon catchers? Combo into seeker and Gengar for pokemon I can't deal with. Thanks for the help in advance!

^It looks like hes using it only for its ability to restock his hand.

Well, I don't think that might be a good Idea because its just another stage 2. I think that if you are going to run it, you should thicken the line a bit. I'd use lost remover because most decks run special energies now, and it would keep them busy.I'd
-2 seeker its not really too needed. 2 is enough for jirachi. I think a super scoop up would be good since its not a supporter
+2 catcher this is definitely needed
-1 haunter
+1 lost remover
and thicken the magnezone line a bit if you are planning to use it

Yes just for restock and faster draw
I like the seekers so I may just remove the jirachi
I could remove the magnezone but not sure what to fill it in

Does lostgar still work?

Didn't the deck get nerfed by the metagame change, when everyone dropped their pokemon counts down and basics became more dominant. There were less evolution cards being used, so gengar had less stuff to "hurl". The High HP ceiling also weakened the deck, as they were limited to 3HKOs for rerishram/zekrom/kyurem and now EX pokemon

4 seeker helps combat what I mentioned above, as it removes problem stuff and gives hurl a target. Lostgar decks turn seeker into a weapon, so you need 4 just to compete.

I just don't think this strategy can compete with the new EX decks. the only thing I would add is mew prime, for being able to copy the attacks of your opponent's pokemon that get 'zoned

Mew just gets destroyed before it has time to do anything, I might remove one card at best but I find them horrible
Its a tuff deck to play thats for sure :/

But what could I use to take care of the hard hitters?
And if I took out magnezone what should I replace?

MTC runs 14 pokemon maximum, durant 7 pokemon max, 6- corners run 16 max, Zek/Eel decks 18 max. (roughly based on pokebeach's list)

I just don't think lostgar has the fire power it once did.

I would drop the mime Jr. in favour of cleffa for better hand refresh and stall

The magnezone line could then be dropped to free up space.

Mime Jr. Stalls just fine and can combo with the slowking for control over there draw
I guess I can drop the magnezone line just don't know what for maybe throw the cleffa in for them?

I'd forgotton about slowking's combo, but as previously stated, many decks don't run the pokemon numbers they did when the deck was first made, making it a lot harder to work with.

Some draw support like N and judge could be used to mess with your opponent's hand more

ya thats what I use the Spiritomb for but thats def not a bad idea. Again the main concern with this deck is those hard hitter basics. The pokemon catchers and seekers are a MUST lol but I just don't know how else to deal with zekrom and others

maybe add something that can hit back?
Just Zekrom turn 1 against me im kinda screwed unless I have a seeker or something just to get it off the field. So any ideas?

How about an increase in energies and run a cinccino line? Its great for stall and can dish good damage

Pokegear 3.0 could help get seekers into the hand. You might also want to find room for pokemon catcher so you can move the active pokemon to the bench.

Ya I am going to add the poke catchers and pokegear 3.0 is a great idea
what do you think about the cinccino line?
